Just put a brand new dock in and I would like to have an outdoor TV setup on the upper deck. I'm looking for any solutions on getting Wi-Fi/Cable up there to stream the games on Saturday. I figured I could run cable up and directly into an outdoor TV setup pretty easy. But wanted to see if anyone had done anything different and preferably easier, or more complicated even, I don't care as long as it works well. Our house is pretty close to the dock if that helps probably no more than 20 yards.

If you have line of sight from the house to the dock just get a smart TV that will connect via wifi. You might need a wifi booster but that is plug and play pretty much.

We have Spectrum TV and Internet. Bought a Samsung Tv ( which has the Spectrum app built in). Works great. We just take the tv we bought for that purpose and set it up wherever we want it. Put in Wi-Fi password, ( 1st time) click on Spectrum app and ready to go. All we need is an electrical plug. Takes about 5 minutes

Depends on the distance from the WiFi source and the dock where you want to put the TV. My current WiFi router doesn't reach our dock so for me, I would have to get an extender. But if the WiFi does reach your solution is exactly right and that easy.

If you have issues with a wifi extender, look into a powerline adapter. I've had good success plugging one in on my pier

or instead of wifi extenders you can try a mesh system. I have Orbi and I really like it. The main router has lots of controls and reproting (like who is logged on and speed). Then you set up a mesh satellite that is kind of like an extender. Mine works with only one satellite whereas when I was running a regular router plus a wifi extender, the signal was much weaker.
