Hey: Great job running down the canada goose, and yep you really got him. I saw you turn around and make sure you ran him down but you didn't finish the job, I did. I didn't get your hull #, pls come back...it's a target rich environment.

I hope that this unfortunate event was just an accident and not intentional. Een if it was an accident, I urge the operator to be aware of the beautiful natural resources on LM, there's plenty of room for nature and the watercraft to co-exist. This is tragic.

Yea and if he knew he intentional committed a felony that could put him away for a decade or more I am sure he would not see the harm in doing it again... The A-hole.

From a Bird lover......... I hope he rots in you know where.

Cruelty to animals (and birds) is the sign of someone with a lot of anger/rage issues. Pretty pathetic.

I do not think it is an anger issue, I think it is an anus issue - if I see you running the wildlife around, I will tell you what I think of you, and request a conference using both verbal and sign language. Earlier this year, we had an idiot on a PWC in Sandy Creek trying to run down some ducks – I do not understand it. If on the other hand, you intentionally hurt our dog – I will not be so kind.

Every year I look at "Mama Duck" and her babies...a couple of weeks later I see "Mama Duck" and her babies...minus one...and hope that we don't have idiots on the lake that think they are cute by running over ducks/geese and their babies. However, it always happens.

What's wrong with that? They belong in Canada anyway :)

I hate to see animals hurt but geese are horrible! They took over all the parks and islands at Lake Lanier and made them a mess! have you ever seen the Mall in Washington DC? They also drive off all the ducks when then take over, poop all over everything, make noise worse than dogs and they will even bite the tires of your cars. Pray they don't get going well at Martin. I've seen more and more of them in the last year. People on neighborhood lakes in Atlanta have to put up small electric fences to keep them out of yards. This is no joke!

Baby ducks are eaten by big fish and turtles. The geese won't let the baby ducks eat and the baby geese are too big for the big fish and turtles to eat so they live and drive all the sweet ducks away!
Geese are not a good thing on southern lakes! I still can't imagine running them down with PWCs!

AS we get more and more developments with landscaped lawns, we'll get more and more Canada Geese. A nice lawn near a body of water is the perfect habitat for them; that's why they are seen around golf courses and city parks, etc. And now that we are seeing so many lawns next to the lake, we're seeing the geese. And they aren't going anywhere as long as the habitat is so perfect and so expansive. Want to get rid of the geese? Get rid of the lawns.
