TRUMP SELLS OUT HIS SUPPORTERS

Looks like Trump has changed his position on reproductive rights which should concern his supporters. I guess both candidates now support abortion which narrows the difference and his supporters can take the subject off the table.

"Donald J. Trump, who recently said he has “no regrets” about appointing the Supreme Court supermajority that overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling on abortion rights, declared on social media on Friday that his administration will be “great” for women’s “reproductive rights.”

Mr. Trump’s use of the specific phrase “reproductive rights” — the language used by abortion-rights advocates — appeared to be an effort by the former president to refashion himself as essentially supportive of abortion rights and as a political moderate on an issue that has the potential to be damaging to him in November."

My Administration will be great for women and their reproductive rights,” he wrote on Friday morning on Truth Social, his social media platform.

Let's see......the guy who is squishy on abortion and the woman who is a radical pro-abortion fanatic.  Easy choice.  Next?

Interesting how your position has changed...from 2023.

"Those calling for the GOP to abandon this issue because it is a loser at the ballot box in some states are focused on the wrong thing.  We need to change hearts and minds in order for this battle to be won, but just because we lose it doesn't mean we should give up.  As for me, I believe in the saying, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul?"  I would much rather lose political power in support of something that I believe is the greatest moral evil in America."

Now, you have moved from opposing "the grestest moral evil in  America" to seemingly acceptinng a "squishy" position on abortion.

My posting skills have become rusty....thus the two deleted posts.

Mother Theresa is not running so there is no option for a "no abortion whatsoever" vote.  What are our realistic choices?  Seems to me it is  "no restrictions whatsoever" vs "restriction except for those children conceived as a result of a morally reprehensible act, or when one must make a binary decision to allow the fetus to survive and sacrifice the mother, or sacrifice the fetus and allow the mother to live".

Martini can speak for himself but I doubt he has changed his outlook on abortion and the picture you try to paint that he is somehow hypocritical is just so much poppycock.

One can always not vote for either candidate if neither appeals to them. Trump will say anything for votes as he assumes the right will blindly follow him. The sad part is that he is correct.

Have you done any fishing on your new lake? Do you keep the battery charged with a trickle charger?

Congratulations on the recent marriage in the family.

So there are only two choices in this election, one bad and the other horrible, and you are suggesting he choose neither rather than the "bad" choice, thus increasing the chances that the "horrible" choice would win?  Seems to me if the "bad" option were to win, many, many lives would be saved compared to the "horrible" option. While "bad" is not a perfect solution, it is certainly better than the "horrible" option.  Can you not understand that?

You must really be bored to have spent all that time searching for that post.  Like I said, I didn't vote for Trump in the primary but he is the nominee and to repeat, I will take someone squishy on abortion over a radical pro-abortion President who would be just fine with letting a baby die on a table if that's what the mother wants.  Ya see Goofy, some of us live in the real world where we don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.  That's called being an adult.....try it sometime.

Nah, Goofy is just trolling.  I am very consistent in my decision making but at the end of the day, as you said, between not good and horrible I will go woth not good all the time, every time.  Just drove by your lake this morning on the way to mass at St. Vincent De Paul.  Longer drive than mass in Alex City but we love Fr. Matt.  Great priest and the mass is very reverant.

He would have to be like Stalin, Mao, or Pol Pot to be a Democrat today.  Give it up Goofy.....it will never work, whatever it is you are trying to do with these posts.

No, I don't fish much, period.  Biggest problem is catching something....then I have to either throw it back or scale, clean, and cook it.

invested in a LiFePO4 battery, and any need for trickle charge is taken care of by the smart charger.

And the Lord has blessed us in many ways, not the least of which is a beautiful, and now happily married daughter.

How is your son doing?  Surely your wife doesn't mind me asking, lol.

Which national convention had a human sacrifice bus pulled up on the curb murdering the unborn?
