my brother in law and i got to the dam around 6:30-am on 8-19-06 and were at the dam by 7:00--the tide was in and kept coming. Not good. Fishing is usually best at a lower tide --needless to say we did not limit out on white bass as we usually do. For the last few weeks the white bass have been doing great--- Today we saw large numbers of dead and dying fish mainly whites , one large mouth, gizzard shad, cat fish and very large carp. On another note we came across large schools of tilapia swimming around the dam area - excellent fish even though it is not supposed to be here--will let everyone know if i find a good bait for them or if you know of one --please tell. from the desk of lampro_king
