Has anyone ever heard Trot Line Band (local band), suppose to be southern rock and they are playing at Aquapalooza (think they may have played last year) and just trying to figure out if they are worth hearing as really do not want to sit out in the water from 12:30 till 6:30 unless the front bands are worth the extreme heat.
Thanks !!!!!!!

Oh come on... Just do it.... it will be fun.
I remember when I was in the 6th grade I had a John Anderson Swinging T Shirt. It was modeled after the Panama Jack T Shirts of the time.
We all wore Coke Sun glasses and had swatch watches and phones. Leg warmers were worn in the summer and our hair was teased and feathered to H3ll.
It will bring back great memorys. I shall be there.

Not sure if they played last year because I didn't pay too much attention to names. I didn't care for the first act, but enjoyed everything else for the rest of the day. I'm looking forward to a full day of music this year.

I say go hear them but leave before John Anderson comes on. I'd rather remove my eardrums with a power drill than subject them to Anderson's godawful twangy voice. And his terrible songs just make his voice even worse.
My fingers are crossed that they finally get it right for Aquapalooza 2011.

He and Dewight Yoakam have two very different and distinct styles.
John Anderson:
Just a Swinging
Straight Tequila Night
Seminole Wind
Money in the Bank
I wish I could have been there
My Kind of Crazy
Would you Catch a Falling Star
He puts on a good show and it's CLASSIC COUNTRY- not the crap they drive down our throats today
|
To each their own. Somebody must like him with over 40 singles in the top 40 and 5 that went to #1. He's not my favorite (I'd rather have Hank Jr., Willie Nelson, or even Brad Paisley), but I think he will put on a great show Saturday. I'm thankful to the sponsors for providing this event at Lake Martin.

I hate "today's country." It's not country at all, it's just what some marketing execs want you to think is country, sung mostly by youngsters they can push around; they can't do that with older, more established stars.
That being said, I agree with whoever said that John Anderson's voice is twangy enough to induce migraines. It's not the songs, it's the way they are sung.
Rumor has it-- and this isn't first-hand info by any means-- that Zac Brown inquired about playing Aquapalooza this year but they told him they weren't interested.

I've never been much of a country music fan but I actually had a John Anderson CD (might have been a tape). I had the one with Seminole Wind, Straight Tequila Night and Steamy Windows.
