for the second times in the last few weeks usually late night 10:30-11:30 , a brightly lit boat has been checking the shoreline. Has anyone else seen this boat? Is it a lake patrol? What are they looking for. The lights on the boat are so bright you can't even see who is on the boat.

I'm far up on the Tugaloo. I've seen the same "patrol" on a few occasions. Very late at night. Fairly loud, and very bright lights. I have no idea what it is.

I encountered this vessel at night recently. It's a wide flat bottom aluminum fishing boat aprox. 16' rigged with a large generator and 9 huge lights mounted bow, starboard, and port sides of the boat. The vessel was powered by an outboard engine and also with electric trolling motor. The occupants were bow fishing using the lights to spot fish. I notified them that it was illegal to be under power with the additional lighting which overpowers the required red/green nav. lighting but they were in dissagreement. My suggestion to boaters is to just stay away from this boat since you cannot tell which way he is headed. The DNR will find him one night and it will be over.
