Charter appears to be going broke. I missed interest payments last week and does not have sufficient funds or cash flow to make upcomming payments. Their stock is selling for 8 cents.

Abitibi Bowater (they now own the paper mill and pulp plant in Childersburg) is in similar shape. Their stock is selling for about half a buck.

Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. is also going broke. Their stock is selling for 4 cents last week.

It was my cancellation of service and filing a claim with the BBB that consumated Charter's demise. This is the best news I've had in years.

You get what you put in and people get what they deserve. This is so true in a negative way for Charter. I have not had ONE good experience with Charter.
