He attacked a 72 year old woman at the Wal-mart in Newman? yesterday. Evidence in the car linked him to the murder in Auburn. Many prayers go out to the family and friends of the Burks. Many thanks go out to the law enforcement for getting this animal off the street!

He will get a defense attorney (a paid excuse maker) to tell the sad story of how this thug had a rough childhood, etc. The death penalty surely won't stop all criminals, but it sure as H E (double toothpicks) will stop THIS $OB. But, hey its just my opinion.

I have always felt that the death penalty for muders of innocent people like this poor girl should be handled in the same way that they killed. Let him feel like what it was like and to suffer before meeting his maker then letting him burn in he**
I am sure Clinton and Obama would have a different view. Like maybe we can talk sense in to these people and they won't do it anymore. Yeah right.

My first gut reaction was the same as yours....but as the parent of an adult child that has been in trouble and gone to prison(thank God for nothing like this) you cannot always control how your children behave ,no mather how hard you try or how hard you pray.
The mother of the suspect was on the 10 o'clock news last night and is truly disturbed and appologized more than once for her son's behavior. I did have a problem with her repeated statement that he has not been the same since he got back from Iraq. Let's remenber that what we now have is a volunteer military.That was the job he signed up for. War has always been hell and I thank God every day for my freedom and pray for those that fight to keep it that way.
Let's keep all these parents in out thoughts and prayers.
