Will anyone who went to the event please update us on the attendance and your thoughts on the music. Where there any problems or license checks on Hwy 63? Just wondering …

I attended and enjoyed CDB and Vagabond very much. Good old Southern Rock. By the time CDB went on stage place was full. Probably between 4&5!thousand peeps. I got to sit on one of the Tooners in the front and pretend I was at Aquapalooza. Food from Spring House was good but too much emphasis on sausage. No trouble getting home, but they let me escape the back way.

From the response, it seems it was a real barn burner of a party. I know many who attended Aquapalooza regularly that did not go to the amp.....it's just not the same type of event and it appears RL wants it that way for now. Hopefully the real thing will come back and I (like many others) would be happy with a pre- Alan Jackson style event with good talent that didn't necessarily cost a lot of money; big names are fine, but to me and most the folks I know Aquapalooza was all about good times with good friends (and meeting new friends) on the water....it was way more than just a concert.

Agree with that sentiment. But like the 1st Jazz Fest concert at the lake with the Radiators headlining, it  moved the next year to the Amp. If I wanted to attend an outdoor concert, there are plenty of Amps in B'ham or ATL, but none that have the appeal of rocking on the lake.

As I recall, the headline act the year before Alan was the Sweet Youngins'(sp) out of Montgomery. Seems they got rained out that year also, but no big deal. Everyone still had a great time.
