Just in time for the BBQ Season, "Mike Elliott's BBQ and Grilling Sauce" is from the Lake Martin area and has Lake Martin Alabama on the label. I'm not just saying this but the taste of this sauce is simply Amazing. It is totally guaranteed to all who purchase it with the contact info right on the bottle. Visit MikeElliotts.com to find out more about it and where to buy it. Please support this Lake Martin product and all local area businesses. Thanks

A thin BBQ sauce that probably isn't unique that someone slaps a label and calls it "Lake Martin". Notice that there is nothing on the website about ingredients or "Mike Elliot" and his link to Lake Martin at all. Likely this a mass produced product that he bought the right to slap his name on.
Some people, however, will buy anything.

Did feb hide the coffee this morning? I'm willing to give Mike a chance if he plays fair with Bruce.... It could be great stuff straight from the kitchen. Then again, I won't know it until I try it. One thing I do know is that BBQ sauce/rub/burnt meat etc. is kinda like pizza when it comes to pleasing folks; we know that opinions are widely varied.

No, I had my coffee. But I looked at the guys website. If it was a homegrown thing, like Wickles, wouldn't he have something about himself and his connection to Lake Martin. Or how he came to develop such a sauce. Or even a little bit about what's in it?
I honestly think this is one of those things where they offer a product and you pay a licensing fee to put your label on it. Call it woman's intuition. But, if it turns out I'm wrong, I'll be the first to admit it and I'll make a special trip just to buy some.
