I feel like I'm back to my freshman year in college with Jimmy Carter in the WH.  Inflation, long gas lines, Middle East in flames, etc. All we're missing is high interest rates....oh wait, with inflation you can be sure the Fed will raise rates.  And when they do it will not be good for the stock markets as we have seen over the last week. Meanwhile Dementia Joe put a lid on his day yesterday at 3:45pm.  SMH.  

On a positive note, employers in Florida said they are getting flooded with job applicants after DeSantis announced an end to the additional unemployment benefits.  Reminds me of what happened in WI when they changed their welfare program.  Half a million dropped off the rolls even before the changes took place.  Lots of states are following his lead and people will flood the market to get a job before someone else takes it.  Human nature.

If the inflation continues at the same pace,  SS recipients could see their benefits increase over 4% in 2022.

Well there's a silver lining.....sort of.  So great, we increase SS spending thereby moving up the date when it is bankrupt.  Happy days are here again!

Many are comparing Biden to Carter, which I think is unfair.....to Carter.  Carter merely mishandled pretty much every crisis during his one term.  Biden has created AND mishandled every crisis.  And Carter didn't create a crisis at the border like Biden.  Nor did he create a disincentive to work like Biden has.  Nor did Carter propose trillions in social spending which undermined confidence in the recovery and caused a spike in inflation.  Jimmy played the bad hands he was dealt poorly, Biden has searched the deck for bad cards and then is playing them poorly.....or maybe to give him a break, whoever is telling him what to do and say is pulling the bad cards and playing them poorly.

So my apologies to Jimmy Carter....an unfair comparison for sure.  Just think, 30 years from now someone will be saying they are partying like its 2021 all over again and comparing that President to Biden.  Carter will be long forgotten.

Goofy is right....it's all good.  Except for the crisis at the border, the Middle East on the brink of war, inflation, stock market correction, lousy job numbers, proposals for virus relief and infrastructure that have nothing to do with either but will add trillions to the debt, the cancellation of a pipeline project, yet another war on fracking, the advancement of the neo-Marxist Critical Race Theory, a proposal fro the Federal govt to take over elections, a POTUS that is a borderline dementia patient and has to call it a day at 3:45pm in the middle of multiple crises.....yep, it's all good because he doesn't send out an mean tweets.....mostly because he probably can't use a smart phone or computer.

Gas shortage for a few days...small stock market correction...as econmy improves there will be inflation....look at the price of lumber....the increase started under Trump as the saw millls raised their prices. It is not supply of trees but the large companies which own sawmills. You will bitc# about Biden to make yourself appear macho. It will take more than that...
