What a fantasic games....Bruins vs Zags....I was wrong when I posted "Gonzaga is untouchable both on offense and defense. I don't ever remember a team so dominate. It would be nice if they were in a close game rather than double digit wins." Best college basketball game I can remember. On to Monday!!!!!!!!!

Quite the finish. Thought for sure it would be double OT. Playing pickup you have to call those bank shots but not here. UCLA played some stellar basketball and it would be sad to see either team lose as they both played their hearts out. Normally I would say it was a word of caution for the Zags to have to beat a #8 seed in OT to get the finals but UCLA left a long list of highly ranked teams in the dust. Could not believe that Gonzaga's center not only played with four fouls but was aggressive and it paid off. Tomorrow night is going to be an interesting matchup. I'm torn but have to pull for Baylor as I have them winning it all in my bracket but either way its nice not to see one of the usual suspects here.

STANFORD..AZ Almost a repeat with a last second shot. Az lost to Stanford twice during the season by around 14 points each game. I expected Stanford to win and really surprised by a close game. Now, for the big one... Sure hope it challenges the two for a close game.
I often watch a game and wonder how a missed shot here and there will effect the final score. A missed shot ..no big deal at the time. Every shot really counts in the final score when it is a barnburner like these last two games.

I can't decide if it was great defense or they didn't seem to have a play set. I can't believe it's the latter. I think they got disjointed because it took them so long with the inbound pass. Not much of a women's bball fan but that was quite the ending. Not as exciting as the men's but the fans for both teams were probably all holding their breath. Another example of it being a shame that one team had to lose.....but one did.
What's you prediction for tomorrow night? I am not even going to try to guess and either team can win. Just hope it's Baylor because I never win our office pool.....like never. And the two that picked Gonzaga to win literally know almost nothing about the game. Given that, I am likely doomed.

At 5,6", they should have used a play with her as a decoy. Poor kid was surrounded by 3 6footers.
I am in a BIG slump picking winners. My nephew, a GA Bulldog grad, and I bet on 3 bowl games. I took Miami vs OK ST and lost. I took FL against OK and was killed, and Cinn vs Ga. I thought I had a winner in Cinn but they could not hold the lead at the end.
My daughter is a UA grad so I took Uconn truly expecting to win. Lost again..So, to make you look good in the office, I will take Gonzaga to win. Timme has to stay out of foul trouble. To me, that allowed UCLA to stay close. Baylor and the Zags were scheduled to play early in the season. Comparing the 2 schedules, looks like the Zags played a weaker schedule.
What surprises me is that you are rooting for the Baptist to beat the Catholics to win a pool. Sure hope the Pope is too busy to read the Forum.
Stay Safe

Now, now....Gonzaga is Jesuit, not Catholic. And if you were Catholic you would know what that joke means. Either way it goes, I am hoping for an exciting game. But if its gonna be a blowout I have to pull for Baylor. Agree Timme has to stay out of foul trouble. They were lucky at the end being able to move him in and out because of all the timeouts. That won't work in regular play.

Ten minutes in and Zaga is down by 19 points...29-10. They’ve been reading media krap about how wonderful they are.

Gonzaga plays in the WAC which is not a very strong conference. Also, because of all the upsets the highest seeded team they played to get to the final game was #5 Creighton. I just think they've never played a team like Baylor with its smothering defense. Also think that winning a tough OT game against a #8 seed team only two days prior took a lot out of them. Really liked what Baylor's coach said in the post-game interview. Class guy and a good man.
