Subject:   New Idea for a Hearty Lunch....

Take 2 slices of Colonial "Light" bread out. Put em' on a paper plate, matching the shapes for each slice facing each other. Use a normal butter knife to smear a thick coat of peanut butter (either smooth or crunchy) over 1 slice of bread, being careful not to tear the bread.
Using a normal tablespoon from the drawer, spoon out 3 tablespoons of Welch's Grape Jelly onto the other slice of bread. Spread the jelly over the bread, again don't tear it.
Carefully lift the outside edges of the bread and slam them together evenly. Do not cut it in half. Eat it whole, with a glass of milk and any potato chips on hand.
Special Note: Best not use the knife in the jelly or the spoon in the peanut butter, unless you thoroughly lick it completely clean before reusing it. Put the spoon/knife in the sink to be found later by the wife.

Maybe so. But,,, back to basics!!
Nobody's posting nothin' bout nothin'...  So, just maybe we can debate the merits of jelly/jam or smooth vs. crunchy??

This is actuall a bigger issue than one might think. PB on one side, jelly on the other vs mixing the two together, then spreading on the bread. Crunchy vs smooth. What type of jelly. Other ingredients, such as fruits and even other nuts thrown in. And, yes you can indeed grill a PB&J. Wars have been fought over less. My personal favorite is Jif crunchy mixed with grape jelly and a spot of honey. (Full disclosure - I'm in the peanut business.)
