I am planning on fishing at Guntersville this coming thursday-saturday. I would like to catch some smallmouth and really anything else. Anyone have any tips on whats hitting and techniques to catch them? Thanks

I just finished a trip on Oct 17-20 to Scottsboro. Bass fishing is slow and fish are scattered. Bait is starting to move back into 2 to 10 feet of water but the bass that are following them are far and few between. North Saudy and Mink Creek are somewhat good places to fish. We caught 6 fish Sunday, 0 fish Monday and 6 fish Tuesday. All fish were caught on frogs on top of the grass, punch jigs through holes and edges of matts, 5in flukes and white buzz baits at matt edges. Guides and locals say it's getting close to the good times but for my money I will wait until early to mid November. Good luck.
