We are also in the Blue Creek area (Near Lakeside Marina) and we have used Charter for several years with no problems.

I think some folks use Com-Link and maybe Brighthouse services also. I haven't used these before but I have seen people talk about them on the forum in the past.

I used Charter at first for a very brief period. What a disaster! The actual Internet service was absolutely awful but, compared to their customer service and tech department, the Internet was fantastic. AT&T moved in and I have had them ever since. Not 1 problem in 2 years and it is faster than my service at work. Oh, by the way, I am over near Chuck's Marina. Don't know if they have service where you are. Just 1 man's humble opinion.

I have actually had exemplary customer service from Charter. They didn't always get it right on the first try but they corrected my issues in a timely manner.
Be advised that as a summer lake dweller i particularly like the ability to and stop the service as needed to avoid year long usage charges, ask about their seasonal billing program.

I have Charter in 2 locations. One is the Internet Lite (19.99 a month) and the other is the charter not-so-lite for 45.00 and up...I can tell no difference in the speeds...not so sure there is any difference....both work fine...

Alex City 256.234.3630.... haven't tried it in over a year. you will always get a recording, and they will not call you back!
I called the Sylacauga (now Childersburg) office once and Portia said to me "how did you get this number??" they do NOT like to be reached! other than 888 GET CHARTER.

...you gotta go thru S.America or an island somewhere ...most are pretty good/helpful but i got mad at one a while back and called him a B------ which prompted him to say, "you another one!"....,got so tickled had to hang up...

Thanks for the info. I tried calling the 888 number and got some guy I think was on drugs. LOL
I ended up calling the Montgomery office and they told me I could return the Charter equipment I was trying to return to the office in Montgomery. I am doing that today.
