I am relatively new to fishing this lake and would like some info as to some good crappie spots. I am close to General Lee and Rabbit Branch...

I also like to catfish..any pointers here...

Thanks

Tim

I'm in Rabbit Branch. Crappie are hitting good around piers, boats, and posts right now at the marinas. I've done better with minnows than jigs. Sporadic though - you might not catch anything for 30 minutes, then you'll catch 5 or 6 in a row. The lower end has been known to produce some good sized cats too. Chicken livers do okay.

Mid mornings between 8:30 and 10:30 & again mid afternoons between 4:30 & 6:30 have been my best times so far. That can always change! I'm geting some very nice sized ones the last week or so. I know you're in the general Rabbit Branch area, but where is your place?

dye creek just before riverside marina has been a great spot the last couple of weeks using night crawlers for bait

Thanks for the info, chief. I'll give that a try this weekend. Always looking for other places to find good crappie! Be safe.

John
