We'll be out fishing the shorelines this weekend. If you see a couple kayaks prowling about on the east shore somewhere north of Country Club Estates, that should be me. Last year did real well and hope to have a good weekend again.
Likely fishing some top water buzz baits, then bumping chartruse grubs along the bottem. I plan on breaking out the fly rod as well with some rubber leg poppers and wolly buggers.
Was at the lake last weekend and, although I didn't get te chance to fish (a tragedy in itself) is did see several fish under my dock. I'll grab a bunch of crickets and let eht boys go wild.
Hope everyone has a safe weekend.
Tight lines -
John

Spent a lot of time fishing with my boys...which makes it difficult to fish in a kayak with a 5 year old sitting with you. Lots of fun and conversation, but not much actual fishing.
The two bass I did catch were right near my dock. One was about 4 lbs I caught on the fly rod using a poper. Waded in like flats fishing and there she was. Great fun on a 5 wt rod!
