I have a home on a canal the goes into Lake George near two helms / houseman houseboat rentals and also known as Fat Bastards Getaway.  The canal is filling up near my house with white sugar sand that was put in the canal back in 2007 for a bridge replacement in which is just up the street from me and is washing all that sand in the water behind me and i can even take my boat out of the boat house and my neighbors upstream can walk across the canal and not get their shoes wet.  The Putnam County public work and road division did the bridge replacement and put the sand in there.  Does anyone have any ideas how to get the city to remove the sand, because it is going right past us and is going to affect a lot more people.  I have put several calls into the public works division with not 1 return call back yet, but i will keep calling...   Anyone have any ideas for me..  Thank You...
