I'm always for competition and viewed the PGA as a near monopoly in the U.S. LIV was offering a much better deal and I really think had they stayed separate over time they would have been real competition for the PGA. Who doesn't want to make more money, work less and have less financial risk? Now we need the Saudi's to start a competitor to the NBA with fewer games, fewer teams in the playoffs actually making the regular season mean something and no LeBron James......please!!! He can go play in China where they seem to love him.
Just saw that Rory says he still hates LIV golf. I can only imagine but if he were being honest he would have said, "I really hate that I didn't sign on with LIV golf, collected a cool $100M or more and then am back in the PGA." I can assure you there are a lot of PGA players kicking themselves for turning down the big payday to remain in the PGA....probably more than a lot.
