This is just a partial ship of the article..... follow the link to the entire article The city closed Lakeside Park’s swimming beach and there are barricades with crime tape encircling the beach area to keep the public out. The city closed the beach last Thursday, after a local Logan Martin Lake Protection Association volunteer water monitor collected water samples from the beach area, showing extremely high levels of the E. coli bacteria. Isabella Trussell, LMLPA water testing coordinator, said she reported the findings to city officials Thursday, who promptly closed the swimming area. She said the samples were collected by one of their volunteers immediately after it rained last week. Trussell said they suspect the source of the E. coli bacteria in the water is from goose waste at Lakeside Park. She said after heavy rains, goose fecal mater is part of the runoff that enters the water from the shore. “We don’t know if it’s from the geese; we suspect it’s from the geese,” Trussell said, adding that there could be another source of the bacteria. “We do know the geese are a problem,” she said.

I was bored yesterday and was doing some reading up on the subject of Canada Geese. One statistic I found is that a goose goes 8 times an hour. Now aside from the fact of that being strange that someone actually knows that. But that's a lot of poop! Multiplied by the estimate I saw of over 8000 geese on and around Logan Martin. Now THAT'S a load of ...... Another good one. A golf course in Indiana had a 3 acre pond that they used for irrigation. Seems a family of geese took up residence. After 3 years, the pond that was once over 8 feet deep and provided plenty of irrigation water for the course, would run dry every time the irrigation system would run. The geese had filled that 3 acre x 8 foot deep pond with....you guessed it! The geese gotta go. Take that however you like. <>< TC

Goose season opens up September 1st and runs thru the 15th. You can kill 5 a day and have 10 in pocession. Im taking orders if anyone wants to some goose meat!

To get a noticable difference we need more than one hunter who's in?
