...and there's a better one out there and I'm looking for it.
It's a really good one that 's shows all the stream and tributaries of each river.

i knew we had to get rain in other parts of the state for it to really help us but I had no idea the area that we needed rain was so small.

Very few folks seem to have a grasp on what our watershed really is, so you are not alone. Thank you for finding the maps Blue Creeker. I hope a lot of other folks will take the time to check it out so they will have a better understanding of where our water actually comes from. It ain't north Georgia. And I repeat again, we will have to have a soaking rain over the whole area for days to make any difference at all.

This site is what I have been looking for. It is the only site I have found where you can follow the water flow of the rivers in both Alabama and Georgia. Have definitely marked it as a "favorite"

Using our new found knowledge of the watershed, you can go to the below link, click on Alabama to zoom in, then check Rivers and Counties and see the accumulated precipitation for the last day, 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, and much longer. It can be a little hard to read, but even a cursory look shows that Miss is getting all the rain. Next time it rains, check this link to see if the rain fell in the right counties.
