Maybe should have posted on Off Topics, but, maybe no answer??
I have a load of old cassette tapes that I created many moons ago that I want to pass on to my children as a reminder of what REAL MUSIC used to sound like. Dump them to CD's.
Searching Amazon/Walmart/BestBuy/ etc,,, I cannot find a box that will transfer the cassette data to the computer then on to a CD burn.?? I just returned a box to Amazon.com that claimed that capability. Piece of junk.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Almost anything ever recorded is available via the internet by download and streaming (which can be recorded) and the digital quality will be much better than anything you could ever reproduce from old cassettes. In my opinion, trying to copy old cassettes or LP's is a waste of time.

I am a libtard rather than a geek. If you are using an Apple, I have had a lot of success using a program Sound Studio to download from cassette decks or any other source and then from there to itunes for cd burning. It is not available for Windows.

If you still have problems doing this I used CDBBQ.com to find an old out of print vinyl 33rpm and burn it onto a CD. I'll bet he can do your cassettes as well. Reliable guy and did treat work. He really can find hard to find music too.
