yes, I mostly fish in colder weather, mostly trying to catch striped bass on my fly rod. Honestly I have not had too much success. I get out in a big slough and watch for bait crashing. Usually once I get over there, they are gone!

I plan to try it this fall/winter.  I've had stripers schooling in front of my dock and caught them with spinning tackle but plan on the fly rod this year.
