Considering he is banned from most of them.  Will be interesting to see if they can get around all the attacks like we saw with Parler.  He will need to be able to do this 100% alone because he will be thwarted by big tech and the govt every step of the way.  As for me, I wish every single conservative leaning person in America stops using all these left wing platforms.  I have and I don't miss it one bit.  And as for Amazon, if I need something I use Amazon to find it and then buy directly from the retailer/manufacturer.  Works 90% of the time and makes me happy to deny them the sale.

Me too....and Prime is a joke.  You can find the same item without free shipping and when you add the shipping to the price it magically equals the Prime "free shipping" price.  I'll often find it cheaper on ebay as well.

Re: ebay, sometimes yes, sometimes no.  I always check both.   Ebay isn't as reliable as it used to be.  

I find it hard to dislike big tech as much as you seem to.  I don't read political articles for the most part on FB, I use it to keep up with old friends.  If I Google or read articles on MSN, I always consider the source so I am aware of where they might be coming from.  I've invested in Tech.  

If you know you are going to get a left wing slant on FB, you know you will get a radical right wing slant on Trump's new social media.  I don't know, I liked Trump's policies when he was President, and I thought he was right about a lot of things, but now I find myself wishing he would shut up and go away.  I guess I am not part of his base anymore and I'm okay with that.  I am really looking for a good strong Republican candidate to support in 2024 and if Trump is the only candidate, I guess I will sit out the election again.  I'm done voting for candidates that I don't think can do the job just because they are Democrats or Republicans.  

I like Amazon and am a Prime User.  It works for me, and the few times I have had a problem, they have corrected it.  I probably wouldn't look at them as a first source for electronics, but the kind of things I buy, it works fine.  

I also buy my dog food from Chewy - do you hate them too?  My Blue Tick Coonhound is a Tennessee fan, but I don't hold that against him.  My Treeing Walker Puppy seems to be an Auburn fan, but he also likes to watch Alabama.  The cat thinks it is all boring.

I don't like social media in general because on the whole it has had a corrosive impact on society irrespective of politics.  It has been especially toxic to young girls. Fakebook is far too powerful and ideologically compromised.  You may not be getting your news from them but I can tell you based on studies you are in the minority.  Can you honestly say you don't ever look at your news feed?  If you do, you are being manipulated.  And I don't like that they use your personal information to make money even if you give it willingly.  As for Twitter, it is a complete cesspool of human debris on both sides of the ideological spectrum.  And what is posted there far too often is used to direct the news you see and hear.  What's trending on Twitter today is in the nightly news as if that is real news.  And given the way it is manipulated by bots you can't even trust what is really trending.  As for Tik Tok it is a tool for the ChiCom's to control what users hear and think.

I don't like Amazon because they have destroyed brick and mortar companies, albeit with a really grat idea that was well executed.  I also have Prime because my wife and kids use it, but free shipping is a bogus claim as the shipping costs are included in the Prime price.  But I try to avoid it as much as possible to spread the wealth around to other retailers without making Bezos any wealthier.  Has less to do with his politics than his impact on small businesses.  But I don't like his politics either and my niece used to be his personal lawyer until she died of breast cancer.  She too was a left wing nut like her parents, who I love and get along with as long as we don't talk politics.

Prime helps me avoid Walmart, being run over by scooters and nor seeing a zillion tattoos; + it comes to my door, dont have to drive & get suv dinged in parking lot by a runaway cart nobody could walk to the stall,  dont have to pay to do self-checkout & bag what  im paying for--say what you will but it was a brilliant concept

I agree with you.   Just don't get used to it.    As soon as China takes over, it's gone.    We need human infrastructure ??that will be totally wiped out unless we build our defense infrastructure

I don't tweet, I don't follow Instagram and I've never even looked at Tik-Toc.  No, I don't read the political posts, unless I write my own, and I do.  that's the beauty of FB - you can just scroll right on past anything you don't want to read.  I bought FB at $26 a share, and I have been more than satisfied with the earnings.  

As far as Amazon, I started using it when they just sold books - I am a huge reader.  I wish I had bought Amazon stock.  You know, I don't care about Jeff Bezos - he had a great idea and executed it and if it made him  a billionaire - well, to me that is what America is all about.  Having an idea and turning it into a success.  There are a lot of miilionaires and billionaires whose politics I don't agree with - but I can live with the differences.  And I like that he has turned his attention to space.  He's creating jobs and creating a market.  I like people with big ideas.  As far as him putting brick and mortar stores out of business - well, I think the internet would do that anyway.  And think of all the small businesses that use his platform to sell their stuff!  I just can't see the downside.  Now, instead of wandering from store to store, trying to find what I want, I can go to his platform, click and have it in a few days.  Especially, living on lake Martin where there are so few shopping options.  I try to support local businesses for some things, but anytime I don't have to go to Walmart is a good day.

If you had bought TMTG on Tuesday you would have +400%. This is going to be very interesting!  The media acquisition SPAC they merged with will be looking for all the fake news networks to purchase and set straight, lol.  This is too funny and payback so sweet!

I have no issues with what Bezos has built but I try hard to avoid making him any wealthier at the expense of local businesses.  And I agree about Wal Mart.
