Subject:   Can Someone Explain????
Date:   9/4/2019 9:43:07 PM

Sunday marked the 80th anniversary of the day Nazi Germany invaded Poland. German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier asked for Poland’s forgiveness, for example, while Pence’s remarks largely focused on the suffering of the Polish people and stressed the importance of having faith in God.

Trump tweeted….”“I do have a great message for Poland,” he said. “And we have Mike Pence, our vice president, is just about landing right now. And he is representing me. I look forward to being there soon, but I just want to congratulate Poland.”

Can someone explain why he congratulated Poland for being invaded by the Nazis.

Because he's both stupid and crazy but thinks he's a melding of Churchill and Einstein!

He is congratulating them for no longer being subjected to the German occupation.  You are completely deranged Goofy....and I mean completely.  Get help before your life is a complete ruins.

Sounds to me like GFY(And Antifatech) would have prefered Poland and much of Europe to be under Nazi control.

For an old guy, GF doesn't seem to have much of a grasp on history.

The event was the annivesary of the invasion not the end of the war. On this one, your logic is worse than mine. I still feel we have more in common than you may think.

Yes, I know that.  But what can you say about the invasion?  "too bad you couldn't fight back"?  "We're really sorry that Hitler invaded you and we didn't do anything to stop him?"  Better to celebrate their successes since they came out from under the thumb of the USSR.

I agree with you but that was not reason for the celebration .............

"Vice President Pence touches down in Warsaw this weekend to attend a Sunday ceremony marking 80 years since Nazi Germany’s invasion of Poland, the spark for a conflict that wreaked devastation across Europe."

"Ceremony marking 80 years" doesn't exactly equate to a celebration but Hound is right in that the celebration is for the breaking of the Nazi shackles.  Might well be there was no seminal moment that marks that breaking, while the beginning of the invasion is more defined.

Stop trying to create an issue when none exists.

I would appreciate if you would pass along the same advice to President Trump.  Maybe if it came from a supporter in the great state spared the trauma of Hurricane Dorian he might be more likely to take it to heart.

PS:  I'm afraid I cannot explain what caused the compound mistake above but I do apologize.  It was my error.

See, it ain't that hard Mr. President!

I am not a "Trump supporter" and wish there were an alternative to the absolute lunacy of the Democrat "I can be a more outlandish, crazy, unglued, nonsensical lunatic than you" crowd.  So please refrain from addressing me as a Trump supporter.

But Trump is a better choice than any of the Dems now running and unless something drastic changes in the next 14 months I will once again hold my nose and vote for Trump.

Maybe when it comes time for the General the Dem nominee will admit they just said all that stupid stuff to get the nomination.  But they are between a rock and a hard place, since if they admit that they lose any credibility they might have had and if they don't the American voters will prove that they are a lot smarter than the Dems give them credit for being.

I get it...you are perhaps classified as a ''reluctant'' Trump supporter.  Does that mean you would not urge him to follow your advice to GF...''stop creating an issue where none exists''?  He could sure use it when things like his Alabama/Dorian statement come up.  The man would be a lot better off if he knew how to shut the he!! up after he says something dumb rather than always using the opportunity to say something even dumber!

He is going to do wat he is going to do.  I don't dwell on the details. You shell out the same old tired stuff. I am done with this thread.
