All of the candidates have released their tax returns except Donald Trump.   How are his supporters giving him a pass on that?  Are they saying they don't think it's necessary for a POTUS candidate to do so?..... and you trust that there is nothing there we need to know about as voters?

No changing the subject in this thread.   What about Trump's tax returns?

At least he has income and files taxes, unlike most dimokraps!  What do you think the chances are that THE HILDA B......H lied on her taxes???????  Her record for truth is lousy!!

Honestly I couldn't care less about his tax returns.

"All" candidates? Are there more than two? But to answer your question, as long as Hillary is the only alternative, I stand squarely behind Donald Trump for POTUS.

I am positive with an Obama/Clinton controlled IRS, Mr. Trump's tax return must be pristine, or he would have already been crucified and burned.

I could care less unless there is a glaring issue like VP Biden only giving a few hundred dollars of $300,000+ income to charity.  The dems are the only ones denouncing Trump for his lack of interest in others while Biden gives practically nothing to charity.

I don't care.  I assume that like most wealthy people, he has a team of tax lawyers, and accountants, dedicated to making sure he is utilizing every tax loophole and break that he can take.  Just like everyone else.  I don't know anyone that says that they want to pay the maximum taxes they can.

Can any of us remember a Presidential election when we didn't want to see the candidates tax returns?   Why are you changing the tradition starting with Donald Trump?   Think it's a good idea to let him run his businesses in secret AND the country?

I always thought conservatives didn't like the secrecy in politics.     especially in choosing POTUS.   Never before would conservatives say that releasing taxes would not be a reasonable amount of disclosure for the office of President.     Think about it:   most of us had to show our tax returns to the bank to get a home loan!   And you don't think voters should have this to consider....?   what?

Giving Trump a pass on this is not in anyone's best interest.   Except Trump.

I couldn't care less about Trump's tax return.  I couldn't care less about Hillary's tax return.  If I saw your tax return what would it tell me about you.  Would I have a different opinion of you than what I do based on what you say on this forum.  Are you hoping that if Trump releases his tax return it may not show he's as rich as you thought he was or says he is?  Are you hoping for a "gotcha moment"?  Would your tax return show your net worth?  Should we be judged by our charitable donations on our tax returns?  Why is this a major issue with you?

Anything that could possibly shed negative light on Trump is important to copper.

What about a photo id to vote? Would that be a reasonable thing to be concerned about?

Sorry to disappoint copper but I have never cared about seeing a candidate's tax return.

Well, at this point I would say that Trump is obviously worried about a 'gotcha moment'!   He has created it by refusing to do what every other candidate has donea long time ago.   Add to that what we know about his business methods, and I REALLY want to know what the details have been.

He's got to be keeping his returns secret for a reason, and it's not because of an audit.  And you have to admit, he has not explained his reasons.

But whether he has something to hide or not, presidential candidates owe it to the American public to be completely open about their finances.   When we ask, they are supposed to give it up.    It's the price of getting the job.

It's also a standard practice for our political process that we should not just toss because some rich guy doesn't want us to know how much cash he has on hand or how he handled his taxes.   We have never given this much blind faith to a Presidential candidate of either party before.

Is now a good time to start?

Guess it's back to the drawin' board.  Let's see, why don't you ask everyone's opinion on what health crisis THE HILDA B......H will have next.

Why did o-BAMMIE go to Pakistan?  Who paid the big bucks for his education?  Did he really lie and use his Barry S. Name to steal money for college from American taxpayers......the krap goes on and on.....

What would these same people who are saying they don't give a rat's behind about Trump's taxes be saying if Hillary was refusing to release her's and spouting the same lame excuse as Trump?  We ALL know the answer!

You can probably get a copy of his grades from them.

Did you show the same concern when Obama wouldn't produce a copy of his college transcript as you are showing for Trump not releasing his tax returns? Like many others, I could care less about his tax returns. I find it ironic that normal everyday people have to provide a copy of their college transcript when applying for a job, but a candidate for President can elect to withhold that information. If you or I did not provide a college transcript as requested, we would no longer be considered for the job. Common sense should tell us that refusal to provide a copy of his college transcript suggests it contained information that would not be looked upon as favorable. It stands to reason that an employer looking for a Chemical Engineer would not look favorably at a lot of "C's" on the transcript. I still would like to see his college transcript. It looks like you will not leave a rock unturned to show your disdain for Trump.

No, sorry.    You don't get to be editor of the Harvard Review just by telling them "I have a very good brain".

You need to look into what it takes to earn the title of editor of the Harvard Review, and what it means to be the Editor, before you dismiss this achievement.     It is a very serious honor & a mark of achievement....

....not like a beauty contest, publicity stunt or Wrestling Smackdown.

Does anyone recall when this showing their tax return became a "thing" for every candidate? Do we need to see the film of their last colonoscopy?  Perhaps we should make them all get an MRI and release those results?  Make them take an IQ test and release those results?  Where does it end.  All a tax return shows is what you earned last year, and what deductions you claim.  Does anyone doubt that Trump has a very high income?  Would it make a difference if he only claimed income of a 900 million last year, instead of a billion?

The truth is that Copperline is just praying for a gotcha that would turn voters from Trump supporters to Clinton supporters which is nothing more than a pipe dream.  There are those that just want to insure that the U.S. will turn into a socialist republic, and the laughing stock of the world.  We're already half way there.  Sorry to break it to Copperline, but if for some reason I were to change my mind about Trump, I would likely vote for the Libertarian nominee.

Exactly!  Now please provide a link to ANYTHING published by or edited by him. I'll keep waiting. I'm sure he was as deserving of that title as he is Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Why don't you comment on the fact that "we" as common people have to produce our college transcripts, but someone running for Ptesident doesn't? I still say there is something behind the fact that he wouldn't produce his college transcript. Maybe he became editor because be fit right in with the "Harvard liberals". You seem to have all the information, so why don't you clue us in ?

Again I jump on your "band wagon" in support of your resoonse to Copperline. It seems that when Copperline doesn't wish to respond to certain questions, he answers with a quick "no". In that regard I have accused him of being in "hiding", but he quickly answers that he is not in "hiding". I have responded to several of his posts in the recent past with questions pertinent to the subject, but for the most part have been left hanging. I understand that it is his prerogative whether or not to respond, however, I believe that if he starts an "issue", he should be willing to follow up when someone counters his assertions.

He's too busy taking what he thinks is the moral high ground.  I'm frankly more than a little tired of his "holier than thou" attitude.  What he needs to do is wake up to what has happened to our country, and examine very closely what 4-8 more years of this path will do.  I voted for Obama, because I felt we needed hope and change, and I was very disgusted by 43's invasion of Iraq and the stuff that happened afterward. My boss worked for Paul Wolfowitz, so I heard more about what their real objective was, more than the average person.  Then ran over Colin Powell who tried to tell them what would happen.  But anyway, so we've had Obama for 8 years - and things have gotten worse.  So why would any rational human being vote to continue these policies?

Big deal.  I was top of my class in high school.

I wish Obama had been in business long enough to learn something about the economy other then robbing from the middle class to dump money on solar companies that went belly up.  The government is the worst at using our hard earned tax dollars, regardless of which party is in power.

Trump will release his taxes if Hilda comes clean on her health.  I think that is fair.  Hope she doesn't lose the email with her health info in it...............

Oh that?  It's classified and she'll only tell you what she decides you need to know.  There will be no transparency in her Administration.
