Subject:   Oblamer crows about unemployment rate
Date:   12/2/2011 10:36:39 AM

Assuming we are all stupid Oblamer is patting himself mightily on the back over a reported 8.6% unemployment rate. What he sickeningly fails to mention is that the reduction is due more to people leaving the labor force than from adding jobs. They have given up on ever being a participant in the workforce. So now the labor participation rate in the U.S. is down to 64% (what this means in that almost 4 of every 10 Americans do not work). The long term unemployment rate is likewise up substantially and jobless claims have jumped to over 400K again after a few better weeks. What is interesting is that neither the economy nor the average American will feel any better about things but will they think things are better as the government media again carries the water for the Messiah and joins in on the scam? I guess we will have to wait over the next few weeks to see how consumer confidence numbers look.

Add to that the seasonal hiring bump that will last about another 30-45 days and there is no long-term improvement.

I knew that would happen when I heard the number.  sadly, creating a losy 120,000 jobs after 3 years of boucing at the bottom is sick.  How he can take pride in that as an accomplishment is only for his own ego ... not the people whose lives he has destroyed with his failed policies.

in 2008, a large majority of people I work with were voting for Obama and saying we need someone different and liked the hope and change ... today (both black and white) I would say better than 80% will not vote for Obama again no matter who runs against him.

I have to hope that feeling is widespread, and i think it is.  How many bumber stickers do you still see for Obama?   Very, very few ... so either people are ashamed to admit the voted or supported him, or they have changed their mind.

Except jellyfish of course ... but he can not even say or admit what he supports about Oblamer.

I am seeing more and more ... 4 years is enough with the slash through the oblamer symbol.

I came to the same conclusion.....and have thought so by the way 46's past posts have been worded.  Must be the same....couldn't be two like him.

46 uses quotes from recent threads, GF pulls screen shots from long ago posts, 46 is consistently principled, GF has spells of infatuation with attractive conservative women, 46 hasn't opened any thread about the sex lives of Republicans, GF opens them up AND provides links to HuffPo for evidence. Sorry, beyond the structure, can't see any similarities. But, the Gone Fishing commentor on various articles at The Hill.com has a generally right of center demeanor. Now I'm uncertain.

Turns out the government just makes up that 315,000 people left the work force. If that number stayed the same as last month unemployment is 9.1%. Had no idea they just make up that number. In reality, if you look at population growth the number is probably higher than 9.1% because there are more people available to work but we have the same number of jobs. BTW, guess who instituted this change in how unemployment is calculated........Slick Willie of course. Even Carter wasn't that devious...

I can't get excited by any kind of numbers released by the government or polls. Numbers can be manipulated to show anything you want to show. I've always found it curious that the unemployment numbers don't take into account those who have given up looking for another job. They are still unemployed. They'd probably like another job. And any one month is not significant anyway.

I already have 7 alias names and don't need another. Just as I do, 4691 continually posts items which are both truthful and backed with solid evidence. The right wing nuts have a difficult time with anyone who disagrees with them and love to resort to another alias.

The more I read water_watcher the more it becomes evident that it is a bored houseewife. No one can work and post all through the day, early in the AM and late in the PM. Just as Hound and FEB are husband and wife, one can only conclude that WW and Hodgie are also husband and wife.

Barnie is just a good old boy still trying to find himself who should be spending more time doing his homework so he can grow up someday to be a productive adult...............................

I hope someday to have an even dozen alias names. 4691 posts on Smith Lake forum. Maybe, I need to post from multiple lakes. Just a thought. Imagine posting on the Dead Sea forum.

Cheers

So, had the seasonal window painter in one of the stores today. I use him at Mardi Gras, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, kickoff, and Christmas. He always does a great job with the artwork. His old ride was something like an Isuzu Trooper. Today, he showed up in a Subaru. Whatever. As I was settling up with him, and scheduling the other stores, I asked, kind of jokingly, that he park his car around the back at the other locations, as his Obama 2012 bumper sticker could be bad for my business. He went off about Republican alternatives, listing each candidate and asking who was worthy of my vote. I said any one of them, actually, anybody but Obama had my vote. He didn't ask why, and as I began to rattle off the reasons, he decided he had no interest in continuing our business relationship, and asked that I return a gift he had bestowed earlier in the day. I laughed, said I'd be happy to return it, did return it, and wished him well. I am guessing he is one of the Pelosi enabled artists, pursuing his dream without worry, thanks to Obamacare. Now I have to figure out how much cash I paid him earlier this year to make sure he gets his 1099, something I may have forgotten to do in years past.

"he decided he had no interest in continuing our business relationship."  Good for him. Now go find a right wing artist. The don't exist. Get your paint brush out.......... you are funny....... a store with no santa on the window. You must be the scrooge of the south.

Subaru is a great little car with all wheel drive and a boxster engine like a Porsche. The pistons fire horizontally rather than verticlly which allows for a lower hood and center of gravity. Only an Obama supporter fully understands the concept.

Cheers.

Had a 1980 Subaru, 75000 trouble free miles, hated the brakes. Friend of the family had one of those $900 Subies in 1969. And the US headquarters were on Rte 70 in Cherry Hill. Actually, the Santa and elves thing were a point of contention. My preference is a Nativity scene and carolers around the Charlie Brown Christmas tree, while the artist prefers the more commercial Santa and elves. Last year, he painted while we were away at Thanksgiving and we wound up with the retail images. This year, emphasized what we wanted to see. The little lefty was not happy. Anyway, I am sure I will find an artsy college kid, or 2, at church over the weekend, and by mid week, be up to speed.

By now, most Obama supporters have been slammed in the face with the difference in concept and reality....

You don't have to wonder ...

1.  don't sleep very much
2.  having a desk job I am always on my computer
3.  IE9 has these little tabs so it is easy to just flip over to different sites
4.  work from home a lot ... it is hours billed that matter in my world so i can work when I want
5.  technology like iphones and ipads allow you to be connected anywhere
6.  and the BEST .... when I am in the "can" I think of "you" and enjoy posting on one of those portable devices

What is scary is that you never answer a question, will not state what it is that you support about Oblamer or what he has done that you feel has moved the country in the right direction that is worthy of your continued support.  You have been caught in so many lies, I have even felt sorry for you at times.

But what is most scary is how you stalk people and keep track of times they post.  Get a life man .... your class envy is showing big time.   We know you are a failure, but it was not your fault, fish it was not your fault, really fish it was not your fault ...a little clip from Goodwill Hunting :)

Very funny. As was noted, my place is on Smith Lake. I pass by this forum daily as I like to check the water level. I guess that habit became something of an obsession for me back during the drought years. I enjoy reading the opinions on this forum even though it is not really that many people posting. I don't post much. I think my views are different from most on this forum. My views are very similar to the Libertarian platform. So from a social view I'm probably more liberal and from a fiscal view I don't think anyone else on this site comes close to being as conservative as I am. I live my own life socially conservative by choice...my choice. I think people in this country should be free to live as they want as long as no one else is hurt seriously. Being offended and being hurt is not the same; the right to offend others should be protected. And freedom should also include the right to be lazy, to not work, and to starve. To the best of my memory I have always voted the straight Republican ticket. I doubt that GoneFishin can say that honestly. By the way, I like the humorous GoneFishin posts which are more entertaining than the boring type of stuff I'd post.

This sounds like a challenge!  Actually, if you are a true libertarian in the Ron Paul style then you are probably more fiscally conservative because I actually think we need national defense and that some of our foreign ventures do meet the defition of what is constitutionally allowed.  I actually believe Iran is a threat and needs to be contained.

But other than that I suspect we would agree on a great many federal departments that would not be missed in the least.

I know most on this forum are fiscally conservative. And you are correct that we likely only differ in opinion on military and foreign spending. I do not think that Iran should be contained...it should have already been invaded and destroyed more than 5 years ago. Our military should be used to defeat our enemies; not police the world and occupy defeated countries for the hopes of winning their hearts and minds. The military budget should go toward defense of our borders and the technology to ensure that no other country is our equal. If a country threatens our security they should pay the price...like Afghanistan and Iraq did initially...but then the U.S. decided to pay the price on their behalf. So I find it difficult to accept that spending a trillion dollars on these two countries is the fiscally conservative approach.

I find this interesting. I don't see the similarity in style with GoneFishin, but then I wouldn't since I am writing it myself. I assume its not the content since my posts have a fiscally conservative slant. Maybe its the fact that I actively support the Tea Party. Its been hard for old school Republicans to come to grips with the fact that many fiscally conservative Republicans do not support spending more on our military than the rest of the world spends combined. But its true...we really exist. The U.S. federal government collects more than sufficient revenue to meet its obligations. There must be budget cuts across the board on everything.

No you don't .... you appear to be a liar just like Jellyfish.   And why is it you never are posting at the same time.   You come for a while and fishy is gone.  they fishy comes back and you are gone.   We went through this back during the last last presidential election ... fishy had a number of alias' and then they all disappeared.  You said you use a different alias when you post to the Smith Lake board ... why????
