Really interesting discussions recently. Which parent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, husband, wife, are you willing to sacrifice so you can go out to eat. If you want to support local stores, many will let you buy a gift certificate to be used later in the year. Lots of the local restaurants are offering take out. Or is it all about the stock market.  I hope to have enough to live out my life in a comfortable manner, no more trips to Europe in my future. I've been a "poor" student, eating toast and cheese grits so we could use our money for clothes and partying, my parents picked up the tab for my health insurance until I was mid 20s, years ago, before Obama Care. I think I have the fortitude to be "poor" again, but I want my loved ones around me. I wouldn't sacrifice a single one. Keep the shutdown as long as necessary to avoid the spread which will overwhelm our health system.

I worry about the most vunerable.  I wish we lived in a country where officials didn't have to issue a mandatory shut down, because people were responsible enough to do the right thing but unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case.  But even if they reopen the state, it's going to be a long time until I go back to my normal patterns.
