I have to say that I am mildly optimistic about the state of the country that even Democrat voters are rejecting the geriatric socialist Comrade Bernie. Once again the much promised youth vote that want all the free stuff Bernie was offering didn't appear. This is the very same goat dance we do every four years. This time the youth vote will carry the day.....and then it doesn't. Rinse and repeat.
So it looks like we are faced with a guy that clearly is rapidly declining in his cognitive abilities and may be suffering from the onset of dementia. He can't string two sentences together, often doesn't know where he is or what office he's running for and it took multiple independent clips to put together a 30-second message after the win. This is abuse of the elderly and whoever is behind it should be ashamed.
On a final note, Trump continues to rack up the primary vote totals like crazy. He is crushing all prior incumbents which is a good indication of enthusiasm.....it is very, very high and will contonue to be high going into November.

Agree on the apparent distaste for socialism. I wonder if the powers-that-be silently support Biden, all the while knowing he will provide them with reason to push him aside at the last moment in favor of Hillary or someone else of their liking. I can't imagine the chit show that would occur, were Biden to face Trump in a nationally televised debate. WaPo would run out of Pinnochios rating Biden's statements.
One question remains, should Biden prevail (as it seems now): What will the formidable number of Bernie supporters do on Election Day? Will they stay home or will their desire to see Trump defeated make them suck it up and vote for Biden? May not know that answer until Election Day.

I am not sure what the end game is. The DNC needed Biden to stop Bernie. Now that this is apparently done can they actually stop him from running? I think Bernie is nuts if he drops out. Biden is one misstep or health issue away from going away as a candidate.
I suspect they will do what they did in 2016 and mostly stay home. The sad reality is that most of Bernie's support came from the under 30 crowd who: a) want all sorts of "free" stuff (really just paid by others); b) seem to think socialism is fine and dandy but don't actually know what it is other than the so-called "free" stuff; and c) rarely show up in numbers to vote. Those of us with critical thinking skills and a little time under our belt have seen what socialism is and does, know that it has never worked and will never work and always, always, always leads to totalitarianism, suffering and death. I have read a few articles where a lot of them have said they'll vote for Trump. To me that is crazy but there you go.....they were crazy to support Comrade Bernie in the first place.
The real question is whether Bernie has any control over his Bro's. I actually don't think he does and Milwaukee will be a war zone during the convention.

Looks like the Democratic strategy right now is to push Sanders out of the race. I've been saying for months not to count Hillary out. If they decide that the VP has to be a woman of color, look for Biden to at least ask Michelle Obama to run with him.
I think the Sanders supporters for the most part will stay home and not vote if Biden is the nominee. They want their free healthcare and their college free and their debts forgiven.
I think you are going to see more people voting against Trump, than true Biden supporters. Media has spun the current Cornona "crisis" as Trump not caring if you live or die, and generally mismanaged. (although I really don't know how you manage the situation any better than they have since it seemingly came out of nowhere) The only thing I would criticize Trump for with it, is that he should have put someone qualified, i.e., the Surgeon General, in charge of managing it instead of Pence.
I think that if Biden is elected, he will be a one term "transitiional" President for 4 years, until both parties can come up with more viable candidates.

Here's an interesting thought exercise. Look at how Bernie did against Clinton in 2016 versus how he did against Biden this year. It will tell you just how bad a candidate Clinton was. But it also tells you that Biden could do better than she did in the rust belt which was the key to Trump's victory. Gonna be interesting for sure. And now Clyburn has suggested they suspend the primaries before Creepy Uncle Joe syas something terminal to has campaign.

While I agree Hillary was a terrible candidate Bidens totals may be misleading. Trump had unimangined turn out for being unopposed and has had 20%+ people at his rallies registered democrates. The one thing Bernie's movement has done is show the older Dems and independents that this is not their old Democratic Party. I think this is going to be a generational election that will return the course of America to more align with the founding documents.

I agree with your analysis. Bernie did horribly with over 50 voters primarily because they actually understand what socialism is and that it doesn't work....unless your goal is equal misery for the masses while the more equal pigs live in luxury. And no doubt there is incredible enthusiasm on the GOP side for Trump. My original plan was to vote for Bernie in the Georgia primary just to keep him going but I may actually change my mind if it doesn't look like a brokered convention....which is looking less likely every day.
Where I think Biden is really going to struggle is in two areas. While he garners a lot of the black vote I am having a hard time believing they will come out for him the way they did for Obama. And given the current state of the employment numbers Trump may do better than normal with that demographic than he did in 2016. Maybe that alone will force Biden to pick a black VP who would also likely be a woman. He will also struggle with right leaning, working class independents. They like what Trump has done on employment, border issues, taxes, etc. And they will look at Biden and his mental acuity issues and have to ask themselves if they can really vote for him or would it really be a vote for the VP who they may not like.

In ruby red MS the primary vote total for Democrats was 260,000 with Trump drawing 221,000
MI total for Democrats is 1.6 million and 640,000 for Trump
MO Democrats 660,000 and Trump 301,000
WA with only 50% counted democrats 1,000,000 and with 73% counted Trump just 108,000
In every primary contest this year the democratic turn out has be up bigly over 2016 with VA seeing an increase of over 50% and TX 40%. To be sure with no real opponent the Republican vote will be much smaller, but when Biden gets more votes than Trump in MS that must give the Trumpistas a bit of heartburn.
Now, tell me again all about where the enthusiasm is.

MM -with all due respect - I think you may be over-reacting to Bidens gaffs. He's not a good debater, he has a stutter. I do think that his age is showing but not to the point of dementia. He's more likable than Bernie - Bernie is way too intense for most people. Biden is a "known" factor -
Now if Trump digs up some real dirt on him and his business dealings. Right now, I think Trump has some things to worry about - the slide of the market, the bad marks attributed to him with the Cornona virus, his inability to lean on Congress without weeks of negotiation. Even though nothing came out of it, Trump has some dust on him from the Impeachment hearings.
I think it is going to be a very interesting election year.

Archie,
Biden's response to a debate question about slavery was the following incoherent, word smorgasbord transcribed verbatim by Caitlin Johnstone:
“Well they have to deal with the — Look, there is institutional segregation in this country. And from the time I got involved I started dealing with that. Redlining. Banks. Making sure that we’re in a position where — Look, talk about education. I propose that what we take is those very poor schools, the Title 1 schools, triple the amount of money we spend from 15 to 45 billion a year. Give every single teacher a raise that equal raise to getting out — the sixty-thousand dollar level.
“Number two: make sure that we bring into the help the — the student, the, the teachers deal with the problems that come from home. The problems that come from home. We need — We have one school psychologist for every fifteen hundred kids in America today. It’s crazy. The teachers are reca — Now, I’m married to a teacher. My deceased wife is a teacher. They have every problem coming to them. We have make sure that every single child does in fact have three, four, and five year-olds go to school — school, not daycare. School. We bring social workers into homes of parents to help them deal with how to raise their children. It’s not that they don’t wanna help, they don’t want — they don’t know quite what to do. Play the radio, make sure the television, the — ‘scuse me, make sure you have the record player on at night, the-the-the-the phone, make sure the kids hear words. A kid coming from a very poor school, a very poor background, will hear four million words fewer spoken by the time they get there.”
This is not a stuttering issue. You insult those who truly have a stuttering impediment but can string coherent sentences together. They do not show signs of early onset dementia. Poor Joe, he should be sitting on his front porch, boating, reading, writing, truly enjoying the sun setting on his life on this planet and yet he has been forced to embarass himself in public because the Democratic Party strategy of keeping in check the wacky progressive wing of their party failed miserably. And now Joe has to save the day for the establishment, even though he is truly mentally unfit for this office.

In the final GOP debate in 2016 Trump was asked about his plans for Social Security. He answered:
''Well first of all, l want you to realize that the Democrats, and l've watched them very intensively even though it is really very boring to watch, that the Democrats are doing nothing with Social Security. They are just leaving it the way it is, in fact they want to increase it. They want to actually pay more and that's what we are up against. And whether we like it or not that's what we are up against. I will do everthing in my power to not touch Social Security, to leave it the way it is. To make this country rich again, to bring back jobs, to get rid of deficits, to get rid of waste and fraud and abuse, which is rampant in this country, rampant, totally rampant.''
Now it is one thing to sound nonsensical because you brain outruns and overloads your vocal chords, it is something else again to sound nonsensical because you are an idiot who doesn't know what the he!! you are talking about as evidenced by the fact that the bottom line answer to the question asked is to promise to do the same thing you have just condemned your opponent for doing! That is mentally unfit for office!

Decipher this gem from ol Joe. This is your nominee, full of vigor and mentally acute beyond measure? There is so much more that it would be funny if it not were so pathetically sad.
“And so I was saying that, and what they turned around and said, Joe Biden said, in effect, they said, that Joe Biden said that what he was told, that what, that what the white supremacists argue, that we have no problem, that our, our, our basic English jurisprudential system is not the problem. The problem is those countries like Africa and Asia and those places, they’re the reason why we have all these problems. So they turn it around to make it sound like that, and by the way, the title of the article is, was, is the Washington Post ‘The Deceptively (indecipherable) of Joe Biden Singles, Signals What Is Coming’ and that is that’s a whole bunch of lies. The generic point I’m making here is that, what has happened is that, I know we’re going to get in to, whomever the nominee is of the Democratic Party, is going to have a plethora of lies told about him or her, and misrepresentations and this went on the internet, this edited article, it got retweeted by some press people and then they realized it was edited to make it look like something not… white supremacists, see, Biden’s acknowledging that the problem here is that that all those folks, all those minority folks are the problem. And so, in essence. And so they corrected, they corrected. You’re going to see a lot more of it. You’re going to see a lot more of not only my statements being taken out of context, and lied about, or altered, you’re going to see whomever the Democratic nominee is because that’s how this guy operates. Now. Whether or not I can win?”

I actually think you are way underestimating Biden's issues. Even many on the left are openly talking about his obvious and startling cognitive decline. You need to go and look at all the video of him. He looks like a frail, mentally impaired old man and he is exhibiting all the precursors of dementia and senility. I say this not because I think Biden can beat Trump in November. I don't believe that. I say it because the Dems are using a frail, old man to stop Bernie Sanders because they are more concerned with Bernie's likely impact on down ballot races because he won't do well with the black vote or over 50 independents that will vote. They are using him and I don't get their end game unless they've written off the presidential race and are focusing on holding onto the House. To me it is a case of abuse of the elderly and Biden should be spending time with his family while he still know who they are and not running for President.
I do agree that the Wuhan ChiCom Chinese coronavirus is going to be a drag on his reelection. I totally disagree that the impeachment has done anything but help Trump and his and the GOP congressional approval ratings are but one of many pieces of evidence in support of my position. And all that despite 97% negative press coverage. But no doubt a recession that the left is cheering on will be a drag if voters blame him for it. The ChiComs are trying to blame Trump and the left and the media are their useful idiots carrying their water. I am not falling for it and neither should you.

So the question you want answered is: Should America have a President who is so mentally disabled (BIDEN) that he cannot think ahead of his mouth, so unintelligible garbage is all that comes out, or do we want a president (TRUMP) who provides necessary information without causing enemies to launch a military attack, but liberal media doesn’t love it.

I do agree that Biden does seem frail and while I don't think he has dementia, I do think he is not as quick mentally as he used to be. You know that I think Hilary is going to try to pull something to get into the race, so if I want to stretch my imagination it goes like this:
Bernie is the lead candidate going into convention, but someone makes an impassioned plea that he can't beat Trump. So Hilary take the stage and says "I almost beat him last time" so give me Biden's delegates and I will go out and beat him soundly this time. She's just waiting...waiting...

Just defend or offer a reasonable explanation for:
A. His statement that he was running for US Senate
B. His statement that his son was the US Attorney General
C. His "you know the thing" remark following his attempt to recite the preamble
D. Super "Thursday"
E. Confusing Chris Wallace with Chuckie Todd
F. The state of "NorthSouth Carolina"
G. 150000000 killed by gun violence
We all could certainly go on, however, tell us how many of these symptoms cause you concern:
Here is the Mayo Clinic’s list of dementia symptoms:
- Memory loss, which is usually noticed by a spouse or someone else
- Difficulty communicating or finding words
- Difficulty with visual and spatial abilities, such as getting lost while driving
- Difficulty reasoning or problem-solving
- Difficulty handling complex tasks
- Difficulty with planning and organizing
- Difficulty with coordination and motor functions
- Confusion and disorientation
Sad, but certainly understandable. Just wondering why your party is putting him through this.

Why does the MSM choose to ignore our need to know if an individual running for President is medically fit for duty, yet harp and harp and harp about NOT being given access to tax records, as if the tax return is more important.
