Kim Yung Un, Donald Trump's love interest, much admired leader and trustworthy friend in North Korea, has executed the envoy that set up the 2nd love fest between Dear Leader Kim and Dear Leader Trump!  Can't wait for Trump's tweet urging understanding and expressing his continued trust of his soul mate!!  There are also reports that Kim's sister, who was his travel mate for the trip, is in hiding.  Our president sure is a good at recognizing quality ''human'' beings!!

Maybe what Archibald is saying is that had Trump in regards to North Korea sent pallets of cash woth billions of dollars and bowed and begged like Obama did with Iran and created a one sided agreement giving the norks everything they wanted without limitations, assurances or inspections - then those 5 would still be alive today.

Trump is trying not to criticize Kim Jung Un or embarass him publicly in hopes of finding an agreement at some point.  Every one knows that Kim Jung Un kills people and is a brutal dictator.  Trump knows this, but also knows that it is not in our best interest to publicly condemn him.  You know, we cannot police the world.  Human rights violations happen everywhere.  We don't have to embrace it, but there is very little to be gained by turning our backs to condemn him.  

Do not construe this to mean I agree with what Kim Jung Un does.  He doesn't care if the rest of the world condemns him.  But he is no worse than any other brutal dictator that has been in power in a number of other countries, except he has nukes.  His people are starving, they are brainwashed, the country is among the poorest in the world.  Execution of his top supporters is hardly the worst thing.

Agree wholeheartedly and you word it more directly than my somewhat philosophical approach below.  Bottom line is you and I (not to exclude others as well) have traveled internationally and recognize that dealing with other cultures soemtimes requires means and methods we would rather not choose to employ.

Trump knows that Kim Jong Un is a brutal dictator - but even if he prublicly condemned him, Kim would not care.  What Trump wants (adn the rest of the world wants) is for Kim to denuke.  What do you think the chances are to continue talks and meeting if Trump starts calling him names?  

In most Asian countries, people kill themselves for losing face.  This is not some fantasy - it is a very real thing.  That's why in the Asian countries, the form large committee for the approval of anything, so no one person is responsible for a bad decision and cause a family or a company to lose face.  In NK, it is the same principle, but since the Kim's present themselves as Gods and don't allow anyone other than themselves to make decisions - then it must be the fault of the Envoy to the U.S who caused NK to lose face (in the eyes of Kim).  You need to remember that other cultures and belief systems have been in place for centuries, and they are not going to change.  And honor killings are part of that culture.  So getting on your high horse and beating your chest will not change anything.  It is not our job to to police the world and tell them what is right and wrong.

You are correct, everybody knows Kim will not give up his nukes if we decide not to talk.  What people who aren't wearing rose colored Trumpista glasses and who can tell the difference between chicken chit and chicken salad know is that Kim will not give up his nukes even if Trump continues to kiss up to this murderer.  Somebody who summarily kills his envoys, generals and even his own brother and causes his sister to go into hiding is not somebody the president of the United States should be calling a trustworthy partner!   

It is interesting that Trump was thrilled to call Kim names (Little Rocket Man....) until Kim said something nice about Trump.  All anybody need to do to get on Trump's ''best friends'' list is to simply tell a few lies by massaging his dangerously enlarged ego by letting him know how smart, or wise, or rich, or handsome, or what a great leader he is!

Yes, we are all aware that Kim is an egomaniac.  I think Trump understands Kim on a level that most poeple don't get.  Calling an egotist names will not change the course of anything, nor will embarassing him publicly.  Slow and steady wins the race in this game of negotiations.  That is the problem with so many people - they do not understand the negotiation process - and it is a process.  You want the other side to feel like they are winning, while you are getting what you want.  But nothing is ever gained by beating your chest and name calling.  It doesn't change a thing.

Honestly, Architect, you should take a class in negotiation, or perhaps read Trumps book "The Art of the Deal".
