I have said it and now the leader of the Right Wing nuts has confirmed it. Trump said it so it must be true.....

“Obviously the war in Iraq was a big, fat mistake, all right?” Trump said at the debate in Greenville, South Carolina. “George Bush made a mistake, we can make mistakes. But that one was a beauty.”

He added, forcefully: “They lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction – there were none. And they knew there were none. There were no weapons of mass destruction.”

Yes, We know that there were no weapons of mass destruction. Those 10,000 Kurds that were mudered with Sarin, a nerve gas,was just a fairy tail that my son told me after he helped to load it up for destruction. The 480 tons of yellow cake ore (uranium ore from the Congo) we flew over to Diego Garcia Garcia that was shipped to Canada for processing is just another right wing rumor.

Chemical Ali, Sadam's son in law,the one he had killed when he returned. said that most was shipped to Syria during the gaps in our "inspection".  On and on.

I too have wondered about the wisdom of that war but I sure do not niss Sadam.

So Trump is wrong about this, so what?  All he is trying to do is slam Jeb! for his brother's campaigning for him in SC.  There were WMDs, our soldiers were exposed to them.  You need to get out more and stop getting your news from the HuffnPuff Post and pmsnBS.

I really do not get it.  I watched the debate and Trump came off as a total crude, shallow A'hole to me -- certainly not a conservative.  Nevertheless, I guess that only my wife and I were put off by his performance, Sunday morning talk shows never discussed it.  How anyone can support him during the primary I find remarkable.  If you think John Roberts abandoned principles we thought he would bring to supreme court, imagine what this man would do as President.

Trump really seemed to be annoyed with everything last night.  I agree he came off as brutal.  I keep looking for a good alternative.

Take a look at Kasich.  I have watched him for a long time and he makes a lot of sense.  Trump is Trump, Cruz oozes sleaze, and Rubio doesn't seem up to the task.  Carson is out of his league and Jeb just doesn't have a personality.  At least Kasich has experience governing, and if you listen to him, he turned Ohio around.

Way, way back I  thought Kasich was my man.  Thought Cruz looked a bit greasy, but the guy is smart really smart. Believe he will bring along some of my fellow tea party type guys.  Totally disenchanted with the Republican National Committee (so why do I still send them Money?)  Cruz/Carley sounds good to me, John Kasich/ Carson is also good.  Problem this cycle is that we have too much talent.

I doubt that this year will be any differant from 2008 or 2012 when it comes to casting my vote , but Kasich is the only one of the current GOP crop that I would even consider giving a 2d look and he is surely the only one that, if elected, will not send me into a state of dispair for the future of the nation!  He has done a much better job in Ohio than Rubio and Cruz have in the senate or Trump has in Atlantic City! Jeb is dull and doesn't have the fire in his belly...I think he is running only because he feels it's a family obligation.

Kasich might not be a Tea Party guy, and has had trouble being heard in the debates, but in a one on one with either Shrillary or Bernie the Buffoon, my bet would be on JK.

I agree about Kasich but since Archie and I agree on him it shows he will never be supported by the Right. I believe he is the only GOP Gov. to accept the Medicaid money under Obamacare. Any true Conservative would never support Kasich.

"Problem this cycle is that we have too much talent."  This is the best joke of the past century. There maybe talent but not for President. They are dropping like flies and 65% were against Trump. Shall be interesting to see who is supported as they drop out.

Yeah, if only we had a old, white guy who should be in a retirement home in Moscow or an old, white woman that should be in an orange jumpsuit at Leavenworth for our nominee.  That would be a much better joke for the Democrat party....... an old socialist and an incompetent, corrupt hag and you have he nerve to comment on our field.  You worry about the plank in your own eye......

I like Kasich too.  Jeb seems like a nice guy, but I don't think he is really motivated to win this.  I'm sorry that I cannot agree that Cruz is smart.  I think he is a sociopath, and I feel that for him the ends justify the means.  I like Trump, but I am concerned that he will not say how he is going to do things.  I'm skepical at this point that Trump saying "I'm going to make America great again", without some details, is that there are any plans.  I'm also afraid that if Trump is elected, he would become extremely frustrated when he isn't able to get things done with the snap of his finger.  I think Rubio has a future, but he doesn't have enough experience and accomplishments to be a leader at this point in his life.

You need to look up what sociopath means. Cruz may be a lot of things but sociopath is NOT one of them.

My white old lady will wear an orange pant suit that matches the color of your heroes hair. You seem to spend alot of time  opining about The Bern and Hilda but have a problem when a Progressive opines about the cronies you support. You are just a typical establishment Conservative who cringes at Trumps name. This should make you feel good......Trump the CODEPINK hero.......

“It felt surreal to hear Donald Trump, the leading Republican contender for President, saying what we at CODEPINK have been shouting to the winds for 14 years now: that Bush and his cronies lied about WMDs, that the Iraq war was catastrophic, and that Bush never ‘kept us safe’ because 9/11 happened on his watch.”

Why do you always have a problem attaching your posts to the right comments?  It's really not that hard.  You click on the post and then hit reply.

As for Trump being my hero I defy you to point out where I said that or even said I would support him in the primaries.  He is not my guy because I do not believe he is a fiscal or social conservative.  I think he is an opportunist and with him now making noises about going third party because the RNC isn't treating him "fairly", said definition it seems is if the Donald loses, he may in fact be a Clinton trojan horse.  But if he is the nominee I will vote for him because while I am not sure what he will do as President, I am certain what Shrillary and the Bern would do, which is complete the work started by dear leader to destroy this country.

As for his comments about WMDs, he is clearly wrong as we now know from the reports of exposure of our soldiers in Iraq to chemical weapons.  That is a fact despite the continued lies and the so-called conventional belief (which proves once again that if you tell a lie often enough the stupid of the world will actually believe it).  And his comments about Bush not keeping us safe are a half lie.  Yes, 9/11 happened in the first year of his first term.  It was planned and set up under Clinton and the lack of coordination between the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc., the so-called firewall, was set up by Jamie Gorelick under President Clinton.  But it happened under Bush's watch, that is undeniable.

Now here is a little thought experiment for you.  How many times during the remainder of Bush's two terms were there attacks on Americans on American soil by radicalized Muslims and how many times during the Obama administration?  Come on Goofy, give us that little comparison if you have the guts, which I doubt seriously you do.

Funny you should say that, because it just so happens I have been doing a lot of research on sociopaths.  And Ted Cruz fits the mold.  Sociopaths lie freely, they mirror what they think people want to hear, and they feel no sense of remorse about hurting others.  I think you are thinking of psychopath, which some people confuse with sociopath, and  I agree he isn't a psychopath.  But definitely a sociopath.

I think it is you that needs to take off your blinders and do some serious research on sociopaths.  Cruz is seriously misrepresenting himself, he says what evangelicals want to hear, and he lies to hurt other people with no real remorse (Carson).  He doesn't want a democracy, he really wants a theorocracy. He's a very dangerous person and do much more damage to this country than what Obama is accused of doing.

Regardless of what you or I or anyone thinks about Iraq - whether we were right or wrong to invade - the fact is that we did, and as a result, we are where we are.  It's time to stop arguing that one.  Bush is out of office and history will judge whether it was a good idea or not, necessary or not, if it created instability in the Middle East.  We just are where we are; the world is as it is and we need to move forward.

Bill Clinton??  Hillary Clinton??  Who you calling a liar?

btw, I agree with you on Cruz.  He reminds me of the far right conservative funDAMNmentalists that took over the Southern Baptist Convention starting in 1979.  Slick, always right, condescending, snakish, self righteous (well you get the picture)

Check the DSM V and you will discover that those qualities apply to many diagnosis not just sociopath and I definitely know the difference between that and Psychopath. First of all to diagnose antisocial personality disorder  ( the commonly used term since early 90's) you have to know a history back to adolescence. APD diagnosis require abhorrent behavior after age 15 but is not legit till after age 18. There are several other conditions that must be met also. I grew up with a diagnosed paranoid schitzaphrenic who was involuntarily committed 3 times and self committed twice. I know mental illness.  I still live with mental illness because I have a liberal sister. :=)

Cruz, as most politicians, would probably meet criteria as narcissist but without more history and facts there is no way to determine APD. Besides that how can you claim he's lied about anything. According to you because he is an evangelist he is lying and conning. How do you know what is in his heart?  I could make an argument under your criteria that every politician and preacher has ASD. Politicians because they lie so easily and preachers because they espouse principles that have no proof, other than blind faith.

So big raspberry for you today, but thanks for playing.

So take your own advice and do some reading.

I checked out a program on TV yesterday called "What on Earth?".  The premise analyzing satelitte photos of anomalies on earth. They showed an image of Iraq with 3 ponds in a gully. The middle pond was red and nobody could figure out why until the discovered that Saddam used it to dump chemical WMD's. They showed video of the recovery of the barrells.

I am totally baffled why the administration allowed the no WMD's meme to flourish without challenging it with the video proof. Of course if they had done that the meme would become Bush planted them.

If the meatheads in your party select him you wil find reason to support him. You play a silly game about who you support. After the primary, you will find all the reasons to vote for the Trumpster rather than The Bern or Hilda..

I'm well aware of what the definition is, however it only defined anti-social personality disorder, under which psycopath and sociopath fall, but it does not define sociopath, which is not recognized as a true mental illness, but a set of behaviors that differentiate between a psychopath and a sociopath. But if you do a bit more reading, you'll find that sociopaths have a different set of behaviors.  I'm well aware that they believe that sociopaths, they believe, are started by a significant emotional event around age 15.  But the symptoms are as I described.  I'm sorry you dealt with severe mental illness in your family, but that doesn't necessarily make you an expert on sociopaths.  I think if you do some additional reading, you will find that throwing the DSM around when talking about sociopaths is meaningless.  So as far as I'm concerned you don't know your sociopaths from your pschopaths.  But then,  you do believe you are a master of the universe of every subject.  Perhaps you should speak to your therapist and they can help you understand sociopaths, as well as your need to be an expert on every subject that comes up.

I am merely responding to the lie Trump told and GF keeps telling about WMDs in Iraq.  Reasonable people can argue about whether invading Iraq was a mistake but only those who are stupid or intentionally deceitful keep repeating this lie.  It is old, it is worn out and it is untrue.  And when someone repeats it I am going to correct them.

I'm the one who thinks I am the expert? Glad I wasnt drinking or eating. I would have choked on that one. Number one, since the early 90's the DSM doesn't recognize sociopath. It was renamed and classified as APD. There is no point arguing with you since you know everything about everything. Problem is like all liberals you know so much that jus isn't so.  I worked in mental health for a number of years but I am still no expert but obviously I am more knowledgeable than you on the matter, but that is almost always true. That's where I learned one of your self professed qualifications of spending a budget to zero. It only took me one fiscal year, not a whole career.

Part of my responsabillities was taking psycho-social histories on clients and assigning and coding diagnosises to determine need and treatment level. Its been over 20 years and I am working from memory so I can't recall all the criteria. I'm sure it has changed but the adolescent behavior must be present for any other criteria to matter. Since sociopath has no relavent meaning in psychological diagnosis you can continue to call Cruz whatever you want, it only shows your ignorance.

As for my expertise on any subject, the only expertise I claim is being able to push you and your husbands buttons. But I will say this, if I tell you a rooster can pull a freight train all you need to do is hook up a harness!

If they were there, what happened to them?

I have read a couple of articles that said some vets got sick after being exposed to "something" in Iraq.  I know that the Army bought some German Fox, which is a chemical detector, to use over there (they are now being excessed and will likely be sold off to another country).  But what the Fox found and what those soldiers were exposed to has never been made public.
