May seem strange to ask when it is 103 degrees but...

I winterized the Wave Runner last year. I didn't make it down to play with it when there was a little water in the lake and consequently never put it in this. I'll just admire it this year.

Here are my questions:

Do I need to re-winterize it if I don't run it? Is the Sta-bil OK? Should I run it for a while with the hose?

No real need to re-winterize it, but with 18 months storage I'd start to get a little worried about the fuel. Did you store it full or empty? There are two schools of though, but I fall into the "store full to lessen condensation" camp. To offset octane degradation I also store with premium plus stabilizer.

I'd probably pul lthe plugs, spray some more lube/engine fog on the pistons and crank it over a couple times. Preferably by hand, not the battery.

If it were me, I'd seriously consider draining the tank before I put it back in next spring. Not now, then. Put some good fuel in, clean out the fuel filter if needed, run it a while on the hose and then replace the fuel filter.

How's that battery holding up? Two words - Battery Tender.

I stored it with a full tank and used Sta-bil. I disconnected the battery. Is battery tender a trickle charger?

Let me borrow it over Labor Day weekend. I will run all that old gas out for you and return to you with an empty tank so you can fill it up with some fresh stuff and re-winterize it. Let me know when you would like to drop it off and I will give you the address.

4-stroke or 2-stroke..... If it is a 2 stroke engine drain the gas. Do this by draining gas then running engine out of gas. Then Fog / oil cylinders. If it is a 4 stroke it will be fuel injected. Leave the gas in it with stabil. after 2 years drain gas refill and play.

Then i would not do a thing. Drain the tank and put fresh gas in before you take it out again. If it is a Honda there are som good site with a to of info on how to care for the machines.

No need to drain the tank. You can put some more stabil in and then next year when you put it back in the water run it till empty then fill back up.Nothing is wrong with you ngas ,why pour it out???If it is like mine it holds 17 gallons and that is alot of money to waste!!!

but dont throw it out. Put it in your car. or lawn mower. Its a high performance engine thats revs over 6000 rpms. Gas loses octane when it sits around.
