whether this will work or not. I guess it would not hurt to try:
WHAT TO DO IF YOU GET A TRAFFIC TICKET
This has been tried in every state, and it is suppose to work but not by yours turely.
If you get a speeding ticket or went through a red light or whatever the case maybe, and you're going to get points on your license, this is a method to ensure that you DO NOT get the points. When you get your fine, send in a check to pay for it. If the fine is $79.00, make the check out for $82.00 or some small amount over the fine.
The system will then have to send you back a check for the difference; however here is the trick. DO NOT CASH THE REFUND CHECK! Throw it away!
Points are not assessed to your license until all financial transactions are complete.
If you do not cash the check, then the transactions are NOT complete.
The system has received it's money and is satisfied and will no longer bother you.

if you get a ticket that can be paid, call and find out how much and to whom the money order can be made. get the name of the clerk you speak with.
go to your bank and get a cashier's check for the amount. don't send the check.
about a month later, call and ask the clerk why you have not received the reciept for the cashier's check. they will tell you because they have not received it. at this point send them a copy of the cashier's check.
they will not know what happened to the check or what account it went into so they will nol pros the case. if they don't then go to court and show the copy of the check to the judge. he will get it done.
wait about 2 years and take the check back to your bank and get your money back

Hmmmm... Or don't speed or run red lights so you don't get a ticket. But if you do, pay it because you are honest and know you were in the wrong.

Now, what will actually happen is the juridiction or the Judge will contact the bank/agency for a copy of the canceled check or money order. You maybe the one who has to chase down and obtain the canceled check. A copy of an open check will not surfice They will then demand you cancel or stop payment on the missing check and re-submitt your payment. May buy you some time, but it will cost you in fees and aggravation.

Tried this one already and it doesn't work. I paid a ticket with a cashiers check and forgot to mail it. Honest! I got the ticket in West Alabama on my way home to Georgia. 6 months later a Ga sherrif shows up at my door requesting my licence. They don't care whether you mailed or not. They didn't get the fine and they will come after you
