I'm trying to get a feel for how many people live on the lake full time.,
Hoping to soon start a new business in the area but am having trouble finding numbers. I live in the Castaway Island area and alot of us are full time but what about your area. I'd really appreciate it if you give me a feel for your area --- about how many homes and about what percentage are full time. thanks a million---you'll like whats coming!!!!!

I am not a full timer, but I know over on Real Island, there are LOTS of full timers. Most of them are mid 60's, but can party with the best of them.
We have really great neighbors who are real good "watch dogs" for us.
Being an older section, I guess most are retired and settled on this part of the lake.

What sort of business are you looking to open?

I live here, but the three houses next to me are summer APC/land rentals. I will guess that more people who rent their land will be Summer only than the people who wish to make a home here and own the land under their home.

A little bird told us that the water patrol was cruising the lake in small unmarked boats looking for folks partying. It was told that quite a few went to the pokey. Has anyone heard anything like this

That being the case, all of my neighbors are fulltimers, all are swat team marksmen and all have Pitt Bulls for pets.

Stragecially placed boobie traps to include a trap door to the septic tank. I learned some nasty stuff in the Combat Engineers.

Check me secure too.

I have trained coons that get really vicious after dark. I've got to work on my daytime security though.

"I'm looking for some lakehouses to rob, and was wondering if y'all could help me out by letting me know where the part-timers live, so I can be sure to get away with it?"

And your earlier post, about the "unmarked Marine Police boats?" Nice one! "Hey, did everyone hear that you shouldn't worry if you see boats pulling up to unoccupied houses; it's just the Marine Police, nothing to be suspicious about."

I haven't seen crooks this stupid since I stopped reading Donald Duck comics; this guy would have fit right in with The Beagle Boys!

Possibly you can BigFoot, Have you ever viewed the wind in the tall pines or the wind coming across the water? Wind waving at you across a wheat field in Kansas is also an awsome sight. You are right, and we are only viewing the effects of the wind. There are more than a few in FL, AL, MS and LA having had a good view of the effects of wind. With all the speculation, Windview maybe hoping you don't see them but only his/her aftermath.

"Windview" is Col. Flagg, the character from M*A*S*H: "I am the wind. Nobody sees me come, and nobody sees me go."

IIRC, "the wind" broke his leg at the end of that particular episode. I think "windview" might end up breaking more than that if he's caught by some of the people on this board!
