I have a 93 Evinrude 115 HP V-4 that has a new powerhead. At anything below 4500 RPM I get an intermittent vibration from the motor that is very noticeable. Feel it in the the floor of the pontoon boat. Hear it. No discernable drop in RPM when staring at the tach when it vibrates.

Is propped to run 5200 RPm at WOT. It seems to run fine at WOT and over 4500 RPM, Idles OK, starts kinda OK (needs a bulb prime when cold).

Been in the shop off and on all summer and has new plugs, wires etc.
What 's up? It's driving me crazy.....

Check your prop out.........I know that sounds too easy but a prop that is not balanced( one blade bent or severly dinged up) will cause a vibration.

Even though you lambasted me earlier, I took your advice to heart. Words you will never hear from your wife....you are right I was wrong and I appologize..We had a boat in the shop earlier in the season with sort of the same problem. His was a cylinder that was missing only slightly but causing vibration. It was missed by several shops by looking for the "big problem" but missing the simple....It was a loose ground wire that appeared to be tight. Give a good wiggle to all your grounds on the engine casing to be sure they are all very secure. This may not solve the problem but a very cheap start. Next the timing, next the power pack next your transom mount. I am inclined to aggree with the prop issue. We had one in on a ski boat that had a new prop but was slightly low on one blade. Farley Stewart in Opelika reworked it and bam, no more vibration. good luck

Although there is no need to apologize to me. I didn't mean anything personal. It certainly takes good character to admit a mistake and correct it. Best of luck to you!

I'll take you advice on the motor and see if that's the problem- Thanks!
