Well this season started out with a mechanical issue with my boat. Water is leaking in through the outdrive shaft on my in/out.....hearing gimble bearing groaning too. Who's the best & most reasonable marine mechanic around the lake?

Is it a Merc or Volvo?

Call Steve at Cat Marine. Scroll under Boat Maintenance and see all the postings. He is honest, great mechanic, fair, and a nice person. He is located on 49 near Oskars. Here are his 2 numbers

334-358-2838

256-825-3388

+1 on Cathouse. He fixed my gamble bearing on my Chris Craft rather than the entire assembly which was recommended by another shop.

I also recommend Cathouse. However, if he offers you anything that he says he cooked, do not eat it! He can't cook!

I had a boat with a Volvo pull in just a few ago.  Went out and met customer, ask about water leak and he looked at me like "huh".  LOL.  Guess that was not you.

Sorry so long to reply! No Steve, that wasn't me. I haven't had a chance to drop it by yet but it is on my priority list! I may call with all the info first just to see a timeline and availability of parts. Thanks!
