He walked up two days ago on Ivy Shores Ln (Formerly Lakewood Rd) looking for a place to call home. This is near the end of Coosa Rd 20. He won't leave. Anyone know who's dog this may be? No tags. He does have an electronic fence collar on though. Must not have worked very good. He is old, docile and howls.

I believe this is the same dog that I've seen on 259, he looks pretty thin. Our dogs invisible fence collar 'box' has a serial number under it, the company can use that to locate the owners information. Good luck!

When he howls, does it sound like he's saying "I love Knoxville"?

I don't know anything about the dog but would love to learn how you were able to post a picture. Whenever I post one I can see it but no one else can. What is your secret sauce?

Sorry, we had to cut the Posting Picture Class due to sequester cuts. However, you might get Mack to show you.

I'll be happy to explain it to you, if and only if you are ready to make a complete idiot of yourself on the Forum and still not get the picture posted..... while others here (not named) lurk on the sidelines making with the funnies.

How's this, Mack?....

UEM, he was a cool dude, was he not? I still run the Bullit chase scene occasionally just to get me pumped up. LNG, boy, that skillet of cornbread was GONE long before I got the picture finally posted.

How the heck did you get that to work? I defer to your forum genius and would like to be able to post pix, etc. Help and I promise not to divulge your state secret. :-)

Yes, I admit I hijacked the thread. I've got a bomb and if someone doesn't tell me how to successfully post a picture I am going to blow the forum to pieces..........OK, that is not actually true.....but I would like to know how to post pictures. Anyone? Anyone?

The one time I was able I uploaded the picture to tha Lake Martin web site, viewed it, and copied the URL that showed up when the piture is displayed. The photo has to be available on the web somewhere......

Wonder why it was set up that way?
|
You'll kick yourself when you see how easy it is. First, load the picture onto a photo sharing site; there are many available and this link has some suggestions.
http://web.appstorm.net/roundups/media-roundups/top-20-photo-storage-and-sharing-sites/
Any photo already on the web will also work (facebook. lakesonline, etc). Go to the picture at it's web location and right click the picture. Click on copy image location. Now come back to this site and open up the post you wish to make. Add text you want prior to the picture, then click the button above that says "Insert Item" (the little one in blue, green, and a orange dot). Paste the image location you have saved where it says image URL and you will post a picture. Your bill for this lesson is attached.

Because the Lake Martin server doesn't know how to get to your computer....IP addresses change, even if your machine stays in the same location. Thus, you can't point to the picture on your compoter, it has to be availabe on the web.
At least that is the way I understand it.

The dog's owner has been found... We actually know them! Just didn't know they had a dog as such. Thanks for the comments. I did not realize the electronic fence dog collars had IDs on them. That is good information to know. In this case the owner found signs I left at the end of Hwy 20 and drove the neighborhood.
Thanks all!

It is so good to hear a 'happy ending' story...so happy for the dog, it's owners and the kind 'Good Samaritan' care givers!

Good ending. We had a dog we found after the tornado and took him to our vet. Dog had chip. Found owner up in New York on business, brother took dog and dog got out of the fenced yard. Wish everyone would consider those chips (for cats as well). Especially those that are weekenders here. Sure would help us reunite lost animal and owner.
