When I hear all the hysteria coming from DC about impeachment and all the other stuff, the one thing that sticks out is the Democrats wanting to ban Trump from elected office...for the rest of his life.  What happened to the will of the people determining who their leaders will be?  The Dems' actions seem to fly in the face of their own professed desire to have all votes count.  Or is it that they are afraid that if he runs again he might win?  Are they afraid they can't beat him on a level playing field?  To me they come across as mean-spirited and petty.  I do not believe that they could prove what they are charging him with in a fair court hearing, and their moves are nothing more than a continuation of their quest for power at any cost.

I fully expect Archie to spew more hatred of Trump the person and Goofy to come up with some off-the-wall response, but it won't change they way I feel.  It saddens me that our country has come to this.  We, more because of the Democrats than Republicans, are quickly slipping into the cess pool of third world country "politics".

They are actively turning him into a martyr - rassmussan polls showed today his popularity has gone up in the last few days since the mostly peaceful protest.

I honestly don't think they can make that stick, unless he is convicted of a felony at some point.  It seems to me that certain Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, are wanting to take a revenge victory lap.  I am one of those that believe that Trump is largely responsible for the attack of the Capitol; however, I think that the Democrats are overstating his "threat" in his remaining days.  

I'm tired of revenge politics.  Trump needs to get a grip, Pelosi needs to shut up.  The scary thing is that I don't know how much control Trump has over these right wing fringe groups - he's mobilized them, but I"m not sure he is controlling things anymore.

Sorry, I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist.  Perhaps they didn't anticipate that they would actually break into the Capitol.  Could have been a breakdown in communications, people got sloppy.  Someone made a bad judgement call.  But I am not blaming the DC police or the Capitol Hill Police - I'm keeping the blame right where it belongs - on the criminals that broke into the Capitol and created havoc.

   I keep on hearing about "Right Wing  Terrorist Groupes ".  Right wing groups did not burn Portland. Way on back Right Wing Groups were not the Occupy Walstreet groups. Consercatives dont threaten opponents on the streets, in resturants or even their their homes.  Right Wing Groups (RWG)d patriotic. They only leave foot prints while on the other hand left wingers leave what would shame a pig! Most of the left wing groups look as if they need to be run thru the sheep dip! In fact even conservative women for the most part are much mere attractive tnan liberal crones who look like they could be test pilot in a broom factory! These are really two totally different civilizations!

The difference is that when terrorists bombed the capital building targeting just republicans in the past - Nadler requsted and Clinton let them out of prison.

I don't think so.  Maybe you can get a really definitive answer by asking former senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

You say Democrats are ''mean spirited''.  Compared to what from Republicans?  Maybe you can get a definitive answer as to which party is mean spirited by asking former senator Max Cleland.

Both sides of the poltical spectrum have their radical sides.  Just because radical left wing groups did wrong doesn't give permission for radical right wing groups to do it.  And I think that there is a marked difference when you attack the center of our democracy and threaten elected officials with violence.  We need to get out of this idea of ourselves as political beings and start thinking of ourselves as Americans, first.
