any action Trump might take to aid his own re-election is, in Trump's mind, an action taken in the best interest of the country and therefore not an abuse of his power and hence never impeachable! Breathtaking...''L'etat cest moi''. Anybody who agrees with that is sick and unworthy of calling themselves Americans!! Wake up!!

I don't think Dershowitz said anything of the sort. If you recall the whole "maladministration" discussion from yesterday, what I gleaned from that is the framers of the constitution considered and specifically rejected such a nebulous concept as a basis for impeachment. As such, the constution as it emerged from the convention specifically stated that "treason, bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors" were the sole bases for impeachment of a duly elected or appointed federal officeholder. In fact, Dershowitz specifically pointed out that criminal conduct is impeachable without regard to motive, even if the president honestly believed that the conduct served the national interest. And last, if you think about it and as pointed out yesterday, almost all presidential decisions involve some degree of self-interest and self-motivation. Where Dershowitz parts company with other so-called "constitutional scholars" is whether that motivation standing alone, wiithout any underlying criminal conduct, would constitute an impeachable offense. But, I guess if you get your news from CNN op-ed pieces you could tumble to the conclusion that what was said is that anything is fair game when it comes to presidential conduct.

Archie, it's hard to imagine you crawled from under whatever rock you have been hiding under to make this post. If you think that is an impeachable offense then you have just impeached pretty much every President, Senator, Congressman and every single politican at the state and local level. Are you that insane?!?!? Wait....don't answer that. Of course politicians make decisions that simultaneously benefit their political fortunes and their constituency. In fact, they frequently make decisions that benefit themselves politically to the detriment of their constituency and even that is not impeachable. That is what elections are for. But you and Pencil Neck don't seem to trust the American people which says way more about your patriotism than what Dershowitz said does about his. Amazing to me that you are so deranged that just because some liberal law professor doesn't agree with your delusions he is un-American. Prett dang sick....even for you....and that's saying a lot.
Let me give you a recent example. Your Messiah Obama entered into an agreement with Iran outside of congressional approval that ensured they would eventually get nuclear weapons and sent pallet loads of cash that were most certainly used to kill Americans......all for his political benefit and to the obvious deteriment of Americans. And yet, he was not impeached. But were you to be intellectually honest (which would be a first) you would say he should have been impeached. There are literally thousands of examples.
Please seek help for your TDS as it causes you to post really nonsensical and poorly thought out statements.

I get your point but I think you know after all these years that Democrats are incapable of understanding their own hypocrisy and the unintended consequences of their short-term decision making processes. We warn them but they just can't help themselves....especially when they suffer from TDS.

Look at the tape of Dershowitz comments. That is exactly what he claimed more than once. Take off your biased blinders and look at the reality of Trump and his defenders! Ignoring the truth doesn't negate the truth!

You can tell when the dims are having problems - Archi starts pounding the table with Wake up, hole digging, Rose glasses and graveyard whistling.
With Archi's post it is now painfully obvious that the peach mint is gonna end badly for the dims.

Yep. And here's the reality. Once the Senate acquits, if this is such a big issue we will see the results in November. I suspect they know that it is not going to happen the way they hope which is why they made such a pathetic attempt to avoid more losing in November. Probably 20% of voting Americans care more about getting rid of Trump than they do about all the things he has accomplished. The rest are not going to make this part of their calculus when entering the voting booth. They will be thinking about the economy, record low unemployment, national security, the proper role of government and so on. Acquittal by the Senate is just not going to drive the vast majority of voters. And they know it.

And they are already talking about if the senate does not convict, remove and deny him the right to run in the next election that 2020 is not a legit election.
So I guess we can now say that the 2016 election was not legit because Hillary and Obama cheated and conspired via the Russia collusion BS - the really funny part is that they are saying that if Trump did what Obama and Hillary did he is guilty, but they are not.
It is right up there by saying that Biden did not have a true quid pro joe due to the fact that he was doing "Official Policy" but Trump who makes the policy was against the policy.
It boggles the mind how much they twist themselves into pretzels.

Now I know why Archie posted this nonsense. It came from Maggie Haberman from the NYT, who is one of their most consistent employees.....she is consistently wrong. No wonder Archie didn't quote from what Dershowitz actually said. His argument, which is entirely correct, is actually the opposite of what Archie stated. Dershowitz argued that if a President does something that is in the public interest and also happens to benefit him or her politically, it is not an impeachable offense. The key here is that the act must first be in the public interest. And nowhere did he say that if the President believes his or her reelection is in the public interest then the President can do pretty much anything....another lie about what he said being bantied about today.
These low information types like Archie that lack critical thinking skills are a real problem......add that to TDS and you get this kind of take on a very reasonable and totally correct position. It's actually scary to me that a person entrusted to design safe buildings is so ill informed and illogical. I live in fear that someday I'll cross the doorstep of some structure Archie designed. God help me if the engineer or builder didn't find and repair the problems.
I found some example of Archie's fine work.

Maybe, the evidence is that Martini and Archie are one and the same. 10/28/2016 they handed off the duties of posting…..
Martini did not post for 6 months from 4/16/16 to 10/28/16.
Archie’s last post in 2016 was 10/28/16 and his next post was 6 months later on 3/8/17.
Coincidence???? No way……both names are from Atlanta area. Yeap….Martini is Archie and Hodja says Doe is Archie…..Wow…MARTINI IS THE BIGGEST LIBTARD ON THE FORUM..

ArchieDoe doesn't have any connected brain cells with is evident with every post he makes. This is not the first time the "two" of them go on vacation together. It has been a pattern from the beginning of johndoe. Archidiot needed affirmation so he created an alter ego tio do so. Problem is he is too stupid to realize the sham doesn't work if they show up/dissapear at the same times. I wouldn't let him design a pole barn for me.

But even I, in my most creative moments couldn't come up with some of the stuff Archie posts....as evidenced by his hysterical and completely illiterate take on what Dershowitz stated. I'm sorry, but I am simply not that talented. My brain just doesn't work that way. It relies on critical thinking using facts, logic and reason. I can try to push them aside and pretend I am a 2 year old having a temper tantrum in a Wal Mart (which is a perfect analogy to Archie's post) but I couldn't pull it off.
