Meanwhile the Senate will refuse to even take it up and they are apparently heading home. And TOTUS, being the imbecile that he is said he would veto it.......hey moron, before you can veto it has to be passed by the Senate.
Regardless of what you think about their Plan B (I personally think it was a trap and I oppose it), once again the GOP controlled House has shown they are responsible and the WH and Harry Reid-led Senate are abdicating their constitutional responsibility in favor of politics. So Archibald, GF, coppertop and 2muchecstasy, you can take your inane comments about bipartisanship, etc. and stick them where the sun don't shine. There is only one party of "no" and that is the DemoncRATs.
Folks, elections have consequences and come January 1, all Americans will see their taxes go up because of Barack Hussein Obama and Harry Reid, not anyone in the GOP!!
But we do have 59 holiday trees in the WH so all is OK, right?

MM,
You mentioned Archibelle, GoofyFishin, coppertop and 2muchecstasy in your post. They will never understand because they are all lower than whale excrement morally. We all know whale excrement is generally found at the bottom of the ocean so they are right there under it.

I mentioned them because they spent a lot of energy crowing about Oblamer winning and how somehow the GOP is the problem. This whole sorry episode puts the lie to that line of thinking but of course they will not understand. They are liberals who by definition do not see the world the way it really is.........

How will those "bi-partisan" and "responsible" Republicants vote when the Democrats introduce a bill to restore the pre January tax rates on all taxable income below $250,000?
Breaking...The Speaker pulls his own bill!! The House has adjourned until after Christmas...now that is showing real "responsibility"!! Face it MM...your party is a perfect example of an insane asylum being taken over by the inmates (aka lunatics).

No, rather it is elected officials carrying out the mandates of the people who elected them. The people said no more taxes and I applaud the representatives who are staying true to their commitment to the people who elected them.
What happened - did you get a payday loan on your January entitlement so you could put gas in that pathetic drive by machine?

Archibald, like most libtards you have two sets of standards. One for Republicans and none for DemoncRAts. Totally appropriate that you would blast them for trying but not one word, not one criticism for Dems that want to raise taxes on all Americans by saying no to any plan.
Just read about him pulling the bill. Reason? TOTUS said he would veto and Harry Reid won't take it up so the GOP rightly concluded it was a waste of time. Chew on that.....you are such a blithering hypocrite.

Of course he does. His life did not turn out the way he wanted. Others achieved so much more and he resents them for it.....actually he loathes them. This country has been unfair to him and is evil and needs to be brought down to the misery of other countries. And he wants the government to level the playing field, to bring others down to his level, to create equal misery so we can all be like him. Archibald is a libtard extraordinairre.....

I can always depend on MM to answer for all of me. After all he is far and away the most enlightened and intelligent creature ever placed on the planet by God!!.. And Mr H, you as one not leaning quite so much to hypocrisy as most forum posters, I assume that you support and praise those 'liberals' in elected positions who vote the way their constituents want. The assumption a representative must be always in alignment with the 'majority' is the reason we are going down the rat hole. Our elected leaders see as their first obligation being re-elected rather than voting their conscience. He//, it has gotten to the point they are even terrified of being opposed in the primary. Well, I think (regardless of what MM thinks I think) we should send people to Congress not to vote the will of the majority of their district or party but to weigh all issues and then support, within the realm of the politically possible, that which is the best for the ENTIRE nation as a whole. I know it has never really been that way, but I remember the Eisenhower, Johnson, and Reagan years...it wasn't perfect in those pre-T party days but it was not as screwed up as now.

But Archie, here is what is wrong with your revisionist history. The Tea Party movement came about as a result of profligate Republicans, Democrats and TOTUS driving us into financial ruin. You seem to be under the totally mistaken impression that this movement is the problem as it is clearly not. The problem is an out of control federal government that is committing generational theft in order to buy votes. And yes, far too many Republicans contributed to this disaster but look at the deficit spending and when Democrats took control of the House and the Senate (2006 in case you missed that one) and the correlation is unmistakable. Democrats are much, much worse and are accelerating our ruin......and left wing nuts voted for them because they hate America and the rest voted for them to get their so-called freebies.
Did the GOP and Bush spend too much before 2006? Absolutely! And those of us that are fiscal conservatives opposed spending like the Prescription Drug expansion. But did we harbor any illusions that Democrats and big government liberals like your messiah would be infinitely worse? Definitely not! And history, facts, logic and reason would cause anyone but the most mind numbed left wing nut to agree because it is a fact.

The point is that that was long ago in a galaxy far, far away..... It seems that you are willing to concede that Democrats are just as guilty of what you describe, but the problem is that they now have the power, and enough memory to remember how they got it. It's a beautiful thought though, neighbor.

Did you object when Bush cut taxes without cutting spending? Did you object when Bush financed 2 wars with "emergency" appropriations so it didn't show up as a budget deficit but did add to the debt? Did you object when Bush gave the banks carte blanche bring the nation's financial structure to the brink? Like it or not, the "liberals" did but the "conservatives" called them "socialists" and "pacifists" and "blame America firsters" and tried to make them the laughing stock of the political spectrum. Be truthful...did you ever once say "you know in this case they may be right"? Of course not...because you are a conservative and only conservatives can ever be right...even when they are wrong.

neither party has control and in order to get anything done each side has to give up something (bad word...compromise). Until last night each side was, with much posturing and angry words and moaning and groaning, doing just that...then the T party decided they had rather go on a kamikaze mission than be a part of finding a solution. Boehner threw up his hands and retired from the field leaving the Democrats in the driver's seat and we will all pay with a either long fall over the fiscal cliff and fall back into recession or a quick passage of a partisan bill which solves none of the problems we have to face at some point. Everybody who is not in la-la land knows that if we are serious about balancing the budget AND eventually whittling away at the debt, we have to cut ALL spending (military, medicare, SS and discretionary) and we have to have more revenue (tax reform AND higher marginal rates for ALL)! I'm ready, are you?

Tell me you are joking Archie. Are you that ill informed??!?!?........wait a second, don't answer that, i already know that you are. i refer you to revenues to the Treasury during the Bush years for your answer.
2003 -- $1.78 trillion
2004 -- $1.88 trillion
2005 -- $2.15 trillion
2006 -- $2.40 trillion
2007 -- $2.56 trillion
Tax revenues in the four years after the Bush rates went into effect increased over $780 billion which is the largest increase in a four year period in the history of the country. Tax revenues decreased in 2008 to $2.52 billion with the recession but still were higher than any of the years prior to 2007. Facts Archibald, stubborn things aren't they? So my ill informed left wing nut, which do you prefer, high tax rates or higher revenues to the treasury to reduce the deficits? i already know the answer to that one as well......you are really interested in punishing the job creators and don't give a rats behind about deficits.
As for how he spent the money and the deficits that were incurred, i think it is entirely reasonable to argue against the cost of the wars and i respect anyone's opinion on that. My opinion is that the war in Afghanistan was the right war in the right place at the right time and your blessed messiah agrees with me. As for iraq, that too can be reasonably argued to have been unnecessary, especially in hindsight. But like all those Democrat Senators, including Hillary Clinton, knowing what we knew at the time i too would have voted for it.
What i opposed is the increases in entitlement spending on programs like prescription drugs. i was all for reforming Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid so they do not bankrupt the country. i would have reined in Fannie and Freddie so the housing market would no longer be so wildly distorted and would have averted the meltdown. i would be eager to provide you with a long list of federal agencies that i would abolish which would save hundreds of billions each year. i would have vigorously opposed the porkulus because i know it would not work and would be the amazing waste of borrowed money that it was.
You see Archie, you argue from a position of incorrect facts and beliefs....but you hold onto them stubbornly out of pride and ignorance. i believe what i believe because it is true.

Archie, you are kidding once again, right? Where is Obama's plan? All we have heard is he wants to raise taxes and make more "investments" which is code word for giving away more goodies using borrowed money. You are a complete joke telling us you care a whit about spending reduction when you voted for the most irresponsible President since FDR.......
