Still waiting for the update on your economic projections. I look forward to seeing you say that Obama's policies are not working and you were wrong to think they would.

Obama's policies are slowly working. I wish they were moving faster. I still expect early 2010 (March/April) to see the jobs picture turn positive. I expect tomorrow's jobs report internals to show that already the majority of states are gaining jobs (this was the case last month) even though they may not see a drop in the unemployment rate because of the growth in the employment pool. I know you guys can't accept it but bad news has to get less bad before it gets good. With a tip of my hat to Sir Winston, we are not at the end or even the beginning of the end, but the economic reports of the last couple of months is evidence that we are at the end of the beginning.

Your quote>>> but the economic reports of the last couple of months is evidence that we are at the end of the beginning.<<< Did you not mean, "we are at the beginning of the end". Curious, and reading what you all say.

you always say we don't want to see the numbers improve ... we are all hoping things improve for those unemployed and looking for work.
As ,ost continue to say ... the sad part is it did not have to get this bad and that is Obama and his policies fault. He has focused his attention in all the wrong areas, wasted tax payers money and all he can say is he has "saved" 650,000 jobs.
You know Archie ... we do reach a point (and we are close if not there) that things will start to improve on their own. After you loose over 6 million jobs and unemployment hits 10%, starting to see job losses slow and eventual growth becomes much easier.
But if he does not creat over 6 million jobs ... he will be the first president in a very long time that will have had a net job loss under his 4 years. And please don't tell me that he inherited a bad economy ... so did Bush (and had 9/11), so did Reagan ... but it is their policies and actions that determine the results.
I do believe we will see job growth in the next couple months (sooner than you) ... but I think we will not see the robust job growth we need and are very likely going to have a second recession before we even get out of this as Obama tries to raise taxes and his huge deficits take their toll.
We will see ... I (and many others) have been more right than you so far .... unfortunately.
But it will all start getting better after the 2010 elections.

Where's the beef? What have you been right on so far? Care to answer what you are personally proud of that Obama has accomplished that is good for america. I would love to know.
Come on ... just one thing. Please. I said please. :)

I was paraphrasing Churchill when he said the allied victory in North Africa signaled not the "beginning of the end" but at least the "end of the beginning" of the eventual victory over Germany and Italy.

Official, 10.3% unemployment, highest in 27 years. Sure glad Congress and the executive rushed the stimulus bill through when they did, to keep unemployment at/below 8%.
|
Sure glad he brought us back from the brink. Before the 2007 Democratic Congress took over, unemployment was at 4.3%, the DJI was over 10K and the economy strong. Will Obozo get as much flack for his statement that the "recession is over" statement as Bush got for his "Mission Accomplished" banner? Probably not.....

Archie: In order to disappoint us you would have to do something unexpected and that is never going to happen unless or until you one day admit your vote for Obama was wrong. I am not holding my breath.
By the way, any recovery in the economy is in spite of the Obama administration and not because of it. The only things they have done are the porkulus plan and cash for clunkers, both of which have been a huge waste of financial resources. Please ask me how as I love to enlighten you......although in order to enlighten you some of it has to sink in which never seems to be the case.
