so goes the country. I have heard that so many times about California leading this trend or that trend. Do we really want to follow California? Some reasons why not:
1. Last year California lost 144,000 people, even with high rates of illegal immigration and hispanic birth rates.
2. California lost 100,000 jobs last year and the unemployment rate was 8.4% in November and likely much higher today.
3. California has one of the highest tax burdens of any state, has more regulation than almost any state and one of the highest worker's comp rates in the country.
4. Their state government will be almost $42 billion in the red.
5. Median home prices have dropped by 1/3rd costing Californians $1 Trillion in wealth.
6. Wages are dropping and the cost of living keeps going up.
This is what you get with a RINO governor that spends like a drunken liberal sailor (my apologies to sailors everywhere) with no regard to any sense of fiscal responsibility. And Arnold wants to be President.....give me a break! Thank God we can't have him in the White House as he might make Obama look like a fiscal conservative. No, we don't want to follow California's lead.
Why is it that states and cities with the highest taxes, regulatory burden, unionization and insurance costs are struggling much more than states and cities with lower rates and yet liberals reflexively propose higher taxes and more regulation at every turn? It is a complete mystery to me that they are so willing to accept our misery in exchange for their power and we all too often are willing to let them get away with it.

Bad management? I have no idea. The only two good things about California are the wine and the weather. They can keep Arnold and Nacy Pelosi.

I would add to that the scenery, at least in northern California. I would also add Barbara Boxer to the list of no never minds. As for the wine, it is good although Napa is overpriced when you compare the quality to other regions.
