The memo must have gone out because now we are starting to see Democrats and Never Trumpers make the ahistoric claim that Hitler's rise to power was about the German people complaining about inflation.  You think I'm joking look up Matthew Doowd or Robert Tracinski.  These are the trial balloons to see if it has tractions....hint, it doesn't.  But there are going to be others.  So we have now morphed from the Jan 6th riots being a bigger threat to our democracy than the Civil War to people complaining about inflation are a threat to democracy as well.

Forget the historical ignorance about the rise of the National Socialist Party in 1930's Germany from the equation and ponder what they are saying.....any criticism of the Democrat controlled govt is a threat to our nation's existence.  Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot would be so proud and Orwell would be mortified.  Also forget the civics ignorance that we are not a democracy, we are a representative Republic (if we can keep it as Ben Franklin said) and think about how bad things are looking for them, how apparently Putin is controlling our government as he is responsible for everything and Dementia Joe is a helpless and at his mercy and how they realize they have already lost the argument about the economic devastation wreaked in 16 short months as evidenced by the desparate use of the Hitler/Nazi pejorative.

EDIT:  I am waiting for them to also claim that people complaining about the stock market crashing, rising oil prices, the crisis at the southern border, the debacle retreat from Afghanistan, the coming recession, out of control crime, etc. were also what caused the rise of Hitler in Germany.  We're all just a bunch of Nazi's amiright?

It is so entertaining to watch the left blame Putin for basically everything and that Joe is helpless to control anything but his vacation and nap schedule.

They spent going on 5 years now telling us how Trump was in bed with Putin / Russia - and now want to say the entire worlds problems rest on one man on the other side of the world who is somehow destroying the entire American way of life.

If would be funny, if the American people were not the punchline.

So we are once again back to January 6th when gas was $2.19 a gallon and the stock market was higher than it is today.  It amazes and depresses me to think even 35% of Americans approve of DJ's job performance.  And consumer sentiment is worst since 1991....worse than the "Great Recession" in 2008-2009.  Every day the chances that DJ decides to "spend more time with his family" and "play with his 5, 6 or 7 grandchildren....whatever the real number is..." and not run for reelection rise with inflation.

Hopefully, the house and senate come back to its senses after the midterms and lock DJ in a padded room. But I have little to no hope that republicans will do any better or worse - just different since they are both pretty much one side of the same coin in most regards.
