I base this belief on the preemptive attempts by Baghdad Jen trying to blame Putin for inflation.  Before the talking points were to blame Putin for high gas prices that occurred long before the spike when he invaded Ukraine.  Now it has moved to blaming him for inflation because they know the numbers for March are going to be in line with what ordinary Americans are seeing every day. That darn "transitory" inflation is not so transitory and rather than believing our lying eyes we are supposed to give Dementia Joe a pass and blame Putin.

Meanwhile our IRAs and 401k's are imploding, housing is becoming near on unaffordable for most Americans that are not in the 5%, massive numbers of illegals are coming across the southern border, the left seems he!! bent on getting us into WW3 and so on.  This Biden's America and the world and it is an unmitigated disaster and likely to get far worse.  If the 2022 mid term goes badly expect the Hunter Biden scandal to suddenly engulf Dementia Joe because there is no way they want to go into 2024 with him as their candidate.  This despite knowing Kamala will be just as bad if not worse.

Yes, It's going to be ugly and Biden is going to try to blame it on Putin and the war in Ukaine, or he'll tell us they expected it because the economy is recovering.  I honestly dread going to the grocery store, because the price of everything is sky high, and the shelves are still not fully stocked.  He's going to try to take credit too for the gas prices coming down a smidge.  He'll talk about struggling families, but the truth is it is the seniors who are really struggling.  The "big" increase in SS didn't do much when inflation is running at 7%.

I have long understood that this Administration does not understand how the economy works.  I have to say that I have been somewhat shocked that Janet Yellen, who was once Chairman of the Fed, seems totally ignorant on this I would expect her to be an expert on.

I happened to catch a little bit of the White House press briefing this afternoon during a break from some yard work, and at least 3 times during the short time I watched, Jen Psaki referred to this rampant inflation as the "Putin price hike."  So the dem talking point is in full motion, complete with a stupid tagline.  And, unfortunately, there are lots of people who will swallow it.  I just wonder how much they paid whoever came up with this idea.

Janet Yellen is a committed leftist first......being a sound economist is not even in her top 10.  There is a reason economics is called the dismal science.....and I use science here very, very loosely.  The problem here is either a lack of knowledge of history or the arrogance to think that this time it will be different.  Am reading an interesting but dense book on the history of money and the banking system in the U.S.  While I am just up to around 1900 what is fascinating is case after case where the banking system was allowed to increase the money supply which caused inflation every time.  That is what caused the great debate over the gold standard versus fiat (paper) money with no intrinsic value and an unlimited supply.  But I can tell you there is a 100% correlation between increasing the supply of money and inflation...100%.

Inflation was caused by two huge infusions of cash into the economy as it was recovering from the plandemic and the Fed's QE policies.  They were not needed in 2021 and all they've accomplished is to increase our national debt and stoke inflation.

When I am right I am right.....and boy was I right.  And they are being hammered for preemptively blaming Putin since all these increases started long before the Ukrain invasion.  We have moved one year closer to the record of the failed Jimmy Carter presidency.  Interest rates on the rise and a recession on the horizon.  Truly those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.  While we wallow in misery old Jimmy is smiling at knowing he is no longer the worst President in the last 100 years.  But hey, no mean tweets so all is well, right?   Idiots....we warned you this was going to be a disaster and Dementia Joe has not disappointed us in his incompetence.  For once in his life he is an overachiever.  Makes me wonder what the future held for the handful in his law school class that were below him......a small but noteworthy accomplishment.

See below comparing wage growth versus inflation under Trump and our current disaster under Dementia Joe.  It's even worse than the inflation numbers show.  At no time during the Trump timeframe did inflation exceed wage growth (i.e., real growth in buying power) and almost immediately after taking office wage growth has lagged inflation under Biden (i.e. real loss in buying power).

MM - I have to call BS on that graph - it has Trump and Biden at the top of it - we all know that everything good comes from Demonrats - and the bad came from Trump, Putin and the Ukraine war - I am forced to take issue with both the headers and the timeline as it does not seem to match up to Xiden talking points about the start of the Putins invasion or what my lying eyes and ears have been telling me since the last ballot box stuffing.

Probably true which makes you wonder about the 30% of Americans that answer a poll saying Dementia Joe is doing a good job.  I'd say 2/3rds of them are just brain dead committed leftists who really don't care about the facts and reflexively lie to pollsters about what they really think to prop up Democrats.  The other third I suspect are just low information and clueless.
