A liberal blog has reported that Mike Huckabee, Ted Cruz and Bobby Jindal have all agreed to participate in the National Religious Liberties Conference which has as its main organizer Rev Kevin Swanson. Rev. Swanson has among other things said that the execution of gays would be in compliance with biblical law, government social service agents will soon come to take home schooled children to live with pedophiles, Girl Scout cookies and the Walt Disney film "Frozen" are designed to turn young girls into lesbians and that many natural disasters are caused by the fact so many women wear pants. Now, as I say this has been reported by a liberal source (People for the American Way) and I have no idea whether these reported planned appearances are a fact, but I have done a little research on Kevin Swanson and he is a piece of work that would likely be comfortable acting as tutor to the folks at Westwood Baptist!
An honest question. If true, do any of you think this is not a wise move by these three gentlemen?

if it is true, than it is not surprising considering the 3 you named. Only Cruz has a standing the polls right now, and he seems to love anything that might bring a vote his way.

So two wrongs make it right? Maybe we should be paying more attention to whom this politicians are listening to and partcipating with. I don't think anyone was too happy to find out that Obama had attended the church of Rev Wright, so I'm not sure why that now makes it okay for these guys to be participating in a program sponsored by this guy who spews hate.

Let's see, if I recall correctly, Obama, belatedly for sure, condemned Rev Wright rather than embracing him as this GOP troika is doing with Rev Swanson. If you can't see the difference then you are even dumber than your posts make you appear...I suspect, based on your "love" of trying to poorly spout in a certain dialect, that you may be a racist too! I could be wrong...unlike you who is never wrong.

that none of the usual suspects has expressed any concern that 3 of their heros will be appearing with a preacher as filled with hate every much as Jeremiah Wright ever hoped to be?

Does anyone really believe that Bobby Jindahl and Huckabee are even serious candidates? Does anyone even know they are running? Ted Cruz is nuts and I keep telling people that they do not want to live in Ted Cruz's America. Worry about Sha'ria law? Wait until you see what Ted Cruz would do to America.

You both voted for Obama twice, so your judgement about who is qualified to hold the office holds no merit what so ever. Why don't both of you enlighten the rest of us as to who should be on the republican ticket since you don't think any of the current crop of candidates is up to your standards.

As I have stated before...John Kasich. By far the cream of the crop and because he is reasonable and in possession of a bit of common sense he has no chance what-so-ever in today's GOP. Of course neither would Ronald Reagan.

I have to give it you Archie, you got some moxie even daring to use "qualified" in a sentence about aspirants to the oval office. Tell what you thought Obamas "qualifications were when you voted for him.

Hillary
As for Obama's qualifications they were few and far between but, considering the alternative was a man in his 70's who had a history of cancer and was stupid enought to choose an idiot as a running mate, and dishonest enough to bend his actual beliefs to kow tow to the extremes of the GOP, the choice was pretty easy.

I personally don't think any of them, on either ticket, are really qualified.
And I will tell you why I voted for Obama twice - because neither time, the GOP presented a candidate that was solid enough to be President. John McCain is a Washington retread, who never met a war he didn't like and then allowed himself to get saddled with Sarah Palin. I wanted an escape from the insanity of the Bush Administration. The second time I voted for Obama, it wasn't because I thought he was doing a great job - it was because he seemed preferable to a multi-millionaire with a sense of entitlement, who merely wanted another notch in his belt; and also had absolutely no experience that would make him a choice.
You can be sure I will not vote for Hilary, if she is the nominee. Personally, I like Chris Christie about as much as anyone running, but he won't get the nod. And if I don't like the GOP nominee, I will probably sit this election out.
