Been away from the lake for several years now, can someone remind me approxiate time before all the floating debris sinks back to the bottom.

Most of it does not sink, it floats up into someone's yard or a deserted slough.
This is probarbly the only good thing about the big boats that cause all of the wakes. The accelerate moving that junk around and moving it to shore. They will not be out in force until Memorial Day.

I was out an about in the Sandy Creek area this weekend. Not too bad although there were a number of large logs floating around.
