Ok you fishermaen on here. What's the best bet for this weekend - bream, spots, crappie or stripes?

Stripes are deep. No sign of them around green monster lights or dock lights at night in shallow water. I did some crappie fishing Sat. night and did ok. Caught three at a Green Monster light and the rest were caught at a neighbors lighted boat dock in 20 feet of water. Fished minnows at 15 feet in front of the light.

I concur, it seems the larger stripes have moved away from the submersible lights. There are plenty of smaller stripes and other fish around the lights. Last evening they did not seem to be chasing minnows but were on the top after bugs. I may have to rig up my fly rod and see if I can have some fun.

This past weekend, I saw crappie all over the green monster lights. The were on top however. not being an experienced crappie fisherman...what is the best lure for top water crappie?

The crappie that you see in the light are hard to catch, but if you see them in the light there are more around the outside of the light that you can catch. Try casting minnows with a cork on the light from a distance. I usually dont worry about the fish in the light and watch my fish finder (lowrance 510C) when im circling the outer ring of the light and it will tell me how deep the fish are and then I adjust the depth of my minnow. I fish straight down with a 10 foot crappie pole and turn my trolling motor way down.
