Sometime between Sat 19th and Sunday the 20th some low life b@stard took my dog.  I was in the hospital for surgery and had family and friends taking care of him.  He was here and fine on Saturday but gone Sunday morning. He had the ability to go in and out but never roamed much at all, especially when left alone.  He suffered separation anxieties and  would stay in bed most of the time I was not with him.  Someone caught him outside and took him.

He is an older Yorkie that we found roaming and near dead about a year ago.  His hair was dragging the ground in mats and he was severely malnourished.  We had brought him back to good health except for his teeth.  We kept him cut very short and he got 2-3 baths a week. He had a collar with rabies and a name and phone number so whoever took him meant to take him.  I hope you ROT IN HELL!!

If anyone knows someone who showed up with a new lovable Yorkie at that time he has a wonderful home where he is missed terribly and I am sure he misses us too.  He will answer to Buddy.  As I said, his teeth are in terrible shape from being malnourished. All three of his front incisors are missing and most of the teeth in his left lower jaw are broken at close to the jaw bone.  All normal steps have been taken to locate him with no avail.  It has taken this long for me to recover enough from my surgery to even post this.

I PROMISE THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL FOR YOU AND I HOPE YOU SEE IT SOON.

That is a bad situation, and sorry for the missing pup. Have you considered that a coyote might have gotten him??  I posted earlier about the coyote problem in Shelby County where they have severely thinned out the cat and small dog population. Aren't you in the Madwin Creek area? Someone reported coyote sightings there.

Yes Mack we did consider coyotes and yes coyotes are in the area at times. I even spotted a couple a few years back and have heard even more but not recently. I discount it though because he didn't even like to go out at night unless one of us was close by. He definitely would not roam at night. I think it was because of the months he was on his own. When he found safety he stuck close to it. Many forum members met the little guy and know how adorable he is. I have suspicions on who might have taken him. They have to live with themselves. I have sure missed having him to snuggle with as I have been suffering through this recovery and trust me know this one has been rough so far and part two yet to come. Thanks for the kind words and thoughts.

I am sorry for your loss, Lifer.  Few things in life can hurt as much as losing your pet that you love dearly.  I hope and pray that Buddy will be returned to you and that your recovery goes well.

I'm sure you have already checked around the shelters, but have you called around to any of the vets?  Sometimes people just drop them off.  I know Dr. Martin at Wayside Animal Hospital in Alex City has dogs just dropped  at her doorstep.  If nothing else, they will know to be on the look out if anyone brings your dog in. And let them know if your dog is microchipped.   Also, check Craigslist.  Sometimes people steal adorable little dogs and then offer them for sale on Craigslist.

I hope you find your dog.  Only pond scum would steal someone's dog.

Agree, Buddy is a cutie!  And I have never seen him let you get 20ft. away from him.  Good luck.  Call me and let me know how surgery went.

I am so sorry. I can relate.  Went into surgery last Tuesday myself, home now.  Our dog was attacked and killed by coyotes that morning.  House has not been the same.
