I was reading an article today about a school in Pennsyvania that is not inspecting lunch boxes and any bags of food that are brought into a school from outside.  it would seem they are of the opinion that kids are bringing too many snacks to school, and their way of changing that is to inspect all food and then confiscate what they consider excess.  

Last night I was watching a commercial in which it say that our planet will be saved with a plant based diet and electric cars.  

I hear these things and it makes me uncomfortable that "big brother" that we used to joke about really is coming true.  We will be told what we can eat, what form of transportation we will use, probably how many square feet of living space we're allowed to have.  You will be allowed to invest only in companies that are green and that do not offend anyone's sensibilties or ethics.  

Someone else will dictate what is taught in school, the way that it is taught.  You will only be allowed to read what is approved reading.  

The social media will make the rules about what you can say and if you don't, you will be cancelled.  

Other "responsible" parents will tell you how you will raise your children, how you will speak to your children.  

They've got it all mapped out.

I used to ignore all the theories about this but am now coming around to thinking they may be correct. 1984 should be required reading for young people to make them think about what they are seeing today.  It was prophetic.  What is happening today is right from the neo-Marxist playbook.  We need to be in the game and winning in the arena of ideas before the left destroys whatever ability people have to think critically and not be ruled by rank emotion devoid of any semblence of reality.  That is the only way we correct the course we are on.  I just hope its not too late.

I am extremely near sighted and sometimes I miss a word.  I'm sorry it upset you enough to feel you had to mention my lapse.  You have a made a mistake in a subsequent post on another thread, but I didn't think it was worth pointing it out to you.

Thats his only way to feel intellectually superior to any one who posts here.  It also lets you know you have wonbthe argument, err, I meant debate with any liberal.  They start calling you names, like racist, bigot, lgbtqtxyz phobe or point out the tiniest, nit picking they can where you might have misspoke or God forbid misspelled something.

Yes, you can expect a post point out how absolutly stupid your post is.  If that is considered "control"

Sort of like a mental patient can expect an injection if he gets violent, but the metal patient is never considered in "control" such as you think you are, but feel free to consider yourself in control - if that is what it takes to make you feel better about youself.
