I'm sure we all remember Dr Birx, the forever Trumper's favorite medical member of the Coronavirus Task Force, at least until Dr Scott Atlas came on board?

Well, Dr. Birx is now free to speak the truth and she is saying that had her boss done what the Task Force recommended several hundred thousand American would still be alive today.  She also makes it clear that she felt very ''uncomfortable'' at a dressing down by Trump.  When asked if she felt she was being threatened she repeated ''I felt very uncomfortable''.  Boy, I bet CRD if breathing a sigh of relief that he has already thrown her under the bus and abandoned his very strong praise for her a year ago.

Yeah Archie, Scarf Lady now in CYA mode now that she has a new job and board appointments.   Trump had incompetents in the healthcare bureaucracy that he inherited and for the most part could not trust.  Fortunately, he gleaned that early on and realized that he could not promote therapeutics like HCQ, Ivermectin, Doxycline but had to go all in on a vaccine because of the current he was swimming against.   He got his info from many sources, much like an effective CEO does.  All deaths tragic, but Trump was not to blame.  Look at the states with the most cases and note the Governors and Mayors of the largest cities in those states.  That will tell you alot.

I don't quite remember my comments regarding Birx, however, early on, when little to nothing was known about this virus, despite Obama's tax dollar committment to the WHO which provided us nothing, she and Fauci were all the administration had. So sad.  Over time, as the data driven science came out (which I unapologetically support), things certainly changed.  In my opinion, not only were we having to corral a virus, but we were also having to address the consequences of the Archie supported, draconian lock down measures that studies showed offered minimal AT BEST safety.  Archie won't listen to this because his party chooses to cancel any data, offered by any scientist that either was associated with the science community that disagreed with the prevailing winds of liberal academia or from scientists that worked for the Trump administration that disagreed with Fauci and Birx (Atlas, eg).  Archie won't admit it, but the harms to children who have been suspended from in-person schooling are dramatic.  Do you acknowledge Archie that poor learning, school dropouts, social isolation and suicidal ideation, most of which occur in lower income groups, are much more prevalent now than one year ago?  78% of cancers were missed this past year because of missed screening.  Depression, anxiety symptomatology, and suicidal ideations among young adults have increased 4 fold per the CDC.  Drug overdoses, domestic and child abuse cases have increased astronomically. 

Leaders have the responsibility to address not only virus mitigation but also the effects of anti-virus policy.  The left still wants us to wear masks after having been vaccinated.  Studies and data do not support that.  Birx failed miserably when it came to analysis of the effects of the anti-virus policies, and I throw Fauci in there as well.  Opinions change Archie based upon actions and results.  Mine, as well as large portions of the scientific community, changed regarding Birx and Fauci.  So what?  Those like you who attempt to unsuccessfully propogate false and error prone information (like the Archie Ratio) deliberately ignore evidence.  That is your claim to fame.   I, otoh as I stated, prefer to rely upon outcomes borne out by the numbers, numbers that you, MSM, social media, big tech,  would prefer to ignore, squelch and censor.  Birx had an opportunity to be a game changer.  She unfortunately failed and is now profiting off of her noble public service while in CYA mode.

Hey, speaking of numbers, have you checked the numbers for that enlightened nation you and MM alway point to as a beacon of how to handle a pandemic, Sweden (strange how you and MM coild be so impressed by a democratic Socialist state).  8,444 new cases today which on a per capita basis is equal to 280,000 cases in the US (we jumped up to 66,000 which is getting scary again...Thanks Guvs Desantis and Abbott)! Their Nordic cousins in Norway where Covid was taken seriously from the beginning and which has 47% of the population of Sweden, had 871. You ask about Deaths...Sweden = 13,465...Norway = 673.  WOW, that sure doesn't compute with your and MM's insistance that countries that didn't institute anti-Covid measure fared pretty much as well as those that did.

Politics has NO place in science, no place!!

can't fix themselves.  So many more variables need to be applied to these numbers for them to make any scientific sense.  Over all of 2020 one reason Sweden saw a lower mortality rate than most of its European counterparts is because its leaders recognized the trade off associated with strict governmental interventions.  As a result, Sweden avoided much of the collateral damage associated with lockdowns, which includes economic distress, increased suicide, depression from social isolation, drug and alcohol abuse, and many other adverse public health consequences.  Get in the game Archie, these effects are just as important, but don't fit your narrative.

As I said above, caution needs to be applied to random age stratified mortality rates.  However, Archie will throw caution to the wind because CNN and MSNBC told him he is allowed to do it.  Nothing but a sheep.

The facts when it comes to the death rate for Sweden vs other European nations.  Less per capita (barely) than UK, France and Italy, on par with Spain, Austria, Poland, Ireland, but much higher than Germany, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands and the Baltic states. 

Let's try to tell the truth CRD, especially on things that is so easy to check.  So easy even Lifer can do it.
